Just rewatched this after a long time. What a delightful lady Martha’s mother was. I believe she was 85 when this was filmed. She appears 20 years younger, brought up a large family and then went back teaching. How lucky Martha was.

This popped up on my screen so I thought I would look at it again. It is such a classic. Loved Mrs. Kostyra ! Just a wonderful woman who was so humble, soft spoken and certainly knew her way around the kitchen. Rest In Peace!

And, Your Mother's Recipe For Pecan Pie. I Use Almonds With Almond Extract Instead of Pecans and, Vanilla. Girl, All This Leo Has To Say Is, It Was Sooh, Delovinlicious ! My Sister Is Allergic To Pecans. But, I Believe That Almonds With Almond Extract Taste Better Than The Traditional Way. Try It If You Haven't Already. Your Mother Still Takes All of The Credit For It. It's Bomb. 💣😍❤

Great example of passive/aggressive by Martha. Oh...btw, trust me on this...instead of dolloping with butter my mom used margarine. Not too healthy but makes a huge difference in taste. She also put slices of American cheese on top.

Very mother/daughter. I used to watch my mom cook with her mother at Thanksgiving and Christmas. My grandmother would tell us stories of our mom as a child, or would contradict her and my mom would either groan or shout, "Oh, mother...!" I was the same when I cooked with my mom! :-D

Please, please use Miss Big Martha’s meat loaf in a video! Years ago I watched it on Martha’s show, I made it. Not only do I think it is good, everybody, EVERYBODY! Says it is the best! I enjoyed watching Martha’s nice mother cook. I also enjoyed the show of preparing for Easter and preparing their basket for church blessing. Thank you

I always start with a bechamel (fancy word for white sauce) and multiple cheeses. Worcestershire, dry mustard and a touch of the cayenne. I may try this version for something quicker.

This is the best macaroni and cheese I have ever made. I love the homemade torn bread crumb topping (probably cause of the butter..lol) I have made mac and cheese a lot of different ways and yours is the top of my top 3 recipes. NUMBER ONE! Delicious!

Martha Stewart paved the way to the cooking shows of today...None matching her legacy...She has been insulted, taken advantage of and jailed but she keeps trying to give us ideas that she has learned to help us improve our skills...and yet you come on her channel and think it's ok to insult her...if she went by the book she wouldn't be the successful woman she is today...Martha, congrats on such a successful career and thank you for what I have learned on your journey...I hope you know you are appreciated by many. I will try this with tomato paste..I've not done it this way before. Your mom looks great! And for all those constipated souls out there..2 words..Raisin Bran...
