I chuckled at after 28 years of marriage he just is telling you he doesn't like garlic. I say my dear hubby had no opinions until he retired and now he has LOTS of them. This reminds me of my sisters homemade Mac & cheese. She uses velveeta cheese, 1can of cream of mushroom soup & butter, it’s absolutely the best. Just make the sauce in a pot on the stove & add your noodles, you don’t have to bake it. I think I’ll try this with my sisters recipe, but yours is very similar.

Jan I Can give you a recipe with macaroni an cheese home made. Make your macaroni and cheese an fry up some hamburger meat just scramble it up season it up withgarlic and onion. how ever you want to and to your hamburger add a pkg of taco seasoning and cook a few minuets to get the taco seasoning cooked in it then had your meat mixture to your macaroni cheese mixture an mix up good in a casserole dish and cook in oven for about ten to fifteen mins you can put more cheese on top. Hope this makes since its really good and not a lot of ingredients. My. Grandkids love it

I just used Save-A-Lot brand of Velveeta and it was a year-and-a-half out of date and had been opened and it was just fine. so everybody don't throw out Velveeta at the expiration date especially if you have a cold refrigerator.

I love recipes like this! I've made something similar, but would never have thought about adding the Rotel tomatoes. You always pull out a secret ingredient! lol. That's also a great price on the cheese. Aldi is a little out of our way but it would be worth going just to pick up a couple of boxes. Thanks Jan.
