Demeter having trauma from Macavity but still being like ”yeah but he still was kinda hot” and Bomba always being horny and describing him only with the way he looks, demeter telling us how horrible he is but at the end they both cant deny the fact hes probably pretty hot

Imagine turning Bombalurina into an antagonist, sacrificing Demeter, and turning the song into a solo, just to get Taylor Swift to be a cat for a few minutes. The duet between Bombalurina and Demeter is exactly what makes this song so great. But no, Tom Hooper didn't think so. Tom Hooper wanted Taylor Swift getting lowered from the ceiling while she's drugging all the other cats. Tom Hooper also thought "I know that the song describes in detail what Macavity looks like, but never mind that. Get me Idris Elba and make him look naked. I will always adore how Demeter and Bombalurina's voices are different (with Demeter's being soft and smooth and loud while her sister's goes from loud to soft to loud again) but both are so synced and blend together. Both can't be more beautiful than the other, they're a package.

I like to think that in an universe where this cats are just cats, the part of 'he's broken every human law', it doesn't means he broke all the laws we as humans respect, he just broke all the laws imposed by their humans, like not breaking fragile things, steal food and that sort of mischievous things He's just a cat that broke every human law, every law humans expect cats to respect

This musical was one I watched obsessively when I was a kid. I followed nothing, I never learned a character's name, I couldn't figure out a main character, I just knew that it was a fun musical with beautiful dances and songs. Now, as an adult, I just wanna enjoy it again. One of the best ever, may the 2019 abomination rot in Hell.

I kinda feel really bad for Demeter, honestly. Like, the acting makes it so like she was in a really toxic if not abusive relationship with Macavity, but has the tendency to go back for the D. Bombalurina knows how bad he is, but is more focused on the D. I also like to think Bombalurina's line "I know. He cheats... at cards" meant that he probably cheated on Demeter with Bombalurina, but the latter warned the former about the infidelity becaus she recognizes he's really not good for Demeter. and Demeter is grateful towards Bombalurina for waking her up from that relationship which is why they're so close with each other.

Ironically Demeter should’ve been called Persephone because clearly she was exposed to Macavity’s underworld at one point.

I remember playing as Bombalurina during our play at school and No one really expected anything, they didn't expect it to be me. Bc I am just a quiet kid. But as a fan of this Play eversince I was a kid, I've always wanted to play a cat and to be bombalurina is one of the challenging yet fun experience ever during my senior HS days. I tried my best to give the role a justice and a lot of people told me I did, so I'm very proud of myself even until now. Especially dancing and singing to this song is whole experience. I enjoyed every second of it. The 2 months of practicing and watching this play/movie for almost everyday is definitely worth it. It made me love cats even more and now I have a lot of em😅🐱

Macavity didn't and harbored and devised a plan to be chosen to go to the Heaviside Layer and that he wants revenge on the tribe for casting him out and for not choosing him to go to the Heaviside Layer - the reason why in the end after he confronts the tribe when he short circuits the lights - he does it to get away and to escape . not to kill himself - He was exchausted from the fight that he retreats to make a quick getaway
