Macbook Air M2, 8Gb vs Surface Laptop 7 Snapdragon X Elite and 16GB RAM
The Macbook puts in a very respectable performance against the Surface Laptop but in spite of running FL Studio natively is still using more of its processor than the Surface Laptop (which also has to run the App in its own x86 emulation layer)
All that aside, the biggest surprise for me was just how well the SQ3 ARM based Surface Pro 9 from last year performed in this same battle on this channel!
Note that the Windows 11 version used here was the initial release with all day one updates completed

The FL Studio ASIO driver (the default?) seems to work OK

Any of the new Co-Pilot devices will do that for you but you might want to go for 32GB RAM

I think the surface is better overall build quality

OLED only good for entertainment. Not for productivity as they cause more eye strain because of flickering

I use the FL Studio asio driver (which i think is probably the default). It worls fine.

The touch screen impacts performance as well so it can never be 1:1 with Macbook. Perhaps you can disable that.
