In this video, I have shown steps on how I fix MacBook Air model A1466 which won't turn on. when I insert the adapter, it only shows a charging light, but nothing works after pressing the power button.

I use board view for board layout, and for schematic am depends on Google. 😅 Apple repair related schematic easily available on Google so no need to use any software.

It's available on google. Infact all voltage rail are details mentioned in schematic diagram of each particular models of MacBook 🙂

Have 820-3437-b.5v is generating and instant off.no short.impedence of 5v coil is good.how to rectify this fault.

Maybe power good signal is missing from one of the IC.

I get pm_batlow 0voltage Mac air 13 1466 How cek resistor below? R1041 (10k) on skematik I check multitester, 5k ohm, and 10K ohm, in another resistor with same value on skematik 10k, i chek 12k, and 5k This mean, ic u5000 or the resistor?

First thing, remove resistor from circuit and then check, that way it will give perfect value. Once identify replace faulty components.

What might be the problem with A1466 macbook, if charger is not showing any light, even if the charger is working with other machines. And it has started like this after updating OS during that updation it got bit heated up

Might be issue in charger detection circuit on MacBook motherboard. Please check all charging requirements as per schematic.

Thank you for your quick response. The technician is saying it has problem with some chip of motherboard, can this be the case as it has suddenly started this issue, after updation or it might have some software issues?

Mostly it's hardware failure means chip or one of the components itself is damaged. But in rare case if chip is programmable then their migh be a chance while updating the firmware of particular chip is corrupt.

Brother my MacBook 1465 not turning on but can see charging charge turning orange to green I did smc reset tat time charger turn orange to green and orange but no luck I tried pram reset tat allso not working I removed battery tryed to on with power cable still not working I pre power button 20sec and tried to on but not working What I will do next plz help

Use apple power plan for diagnose issue. Use schematic. Definately you will fix this issue.

In schematic there is a power rail sequence is given. Refere that to fix issue.

@@QuickFixRepairCenter brother I checked one more thing.I removed battery conection and checked power. Mother board is giving charge to battery but battery still in .23volt I checked with multimeter I keep the laptop connected with power cable for 1 hour after I checked the battery. But still .23v not came up Is that battery making problm? I removed the battery out and connected booster still battery in .23 volt not coming up But my dout is without battery power MacBook Air a1465 will not work with power cable?

May be battery is faulty. But after removing battery if you plug charger then MacBook need to turn on without an issue. If that is not case then there is motherboard issue still exists. No doubt battery is also drained.

Check other power lines according to schematic which is necessary and try to reprogram bios chip if all lines are ok.

@@QuickFixRepairCenter i have 5V generated, but something crashes the 5V rail....but can't find no shorts...when i inject 5V it also crashes the voltage, something is pulling current and it shuts down and goes to loop like that...

Ok. Check that particular line where it's generating and from that point trace all circuit it's distributing. You have to disconnect one by one circuit to find faulty component. If u have thermal camera then it's may be easier to identify faulty components. By the way when u injecting 5v on line, how much ampere take on dc machine?

@@QuickFixRepairCenter without injecting , i am measuring at the fan_plus, the voltage briefly jumps to 2V and then it restarts...when injecting 5V the rail draws around 500mA, i will now scan with termal camera... but the 5V on U7501 output is stable, doesn't drop....
