Thank you so much. My son and I took his "water damaged" Macbook to the Apple Store and they told us it wasn't worth fixing, it was trash. I ran across this video and ordered a keyboard on EBAY. It took us a LONG time but followed the instructions and it came out great!! Love KZfaq

what is the size of the key to remove the side screws from the keyboard? only the sides that are philips. Thank you.

My loving ex threw coffee on my new macbook's kb a few years ago I only let it dried and not a huge damage was caused sometimes the left arrow sticks but I am so not paying for a repair. I will use this little shit until it dies. BTW it overheats, I downloaded a 2gb program and the overheating during the overnight download caused damage to the lcd, it flickers badly and it has ghosting images and light bleeding, so I had to soft fix the flickering with a color calibration and night mode to avoid the flickering. It requires a motherboard and lcd replacement so that means like a $2000 repair for a $1500 pc

Yes, it works fine. I don't see any different.

No, you can no. There is a small different and it does not match.

@@fixstudioTV But on your video you set 2016 keyboard (2sensors) into a 2015 version (1 sensor) IT will not work without some fixes! or you not showed all work

Did you replace the rivets on the hedge with screws?

No. But there is a possibility to do this.

@@fixstudioTV So how did you re-attach the keyboard on the edge then if you haven't used screws? Once rivets are broken, you can't re-use them?

Hi. Sorry, i'm misunderstand you. I was sure that we’re talking about Mac Air. Sor. Of course there was screws.

Wrong model. The rivets are on the earlier retinas. A1466, A1502 etc. These don't have keyboard rivets.

I have replaced mine and it doesnt work properly, i can only type numbers and some punctuation, and the trackpad only works as right-click :((((

I have a 22 year old laptop that runs Windows XP and the keyboard still works. Actually, everything on it still works. The battery even charges. You should stop buying APPLE trash!!!

@@nabman5619 yea there is so many things you can do on a 22 year old windows laptop nowadays isn't there, apple knows this line of keyboards are faulty and offer free fixing on them, aside from that they still get full os support even tho they are 7 years old
