Beyond Kaseve town, the Kitui road is smooth all the way to Mwala town. Along the road, there are notable homesteads that are trying out subsistence farming. Mango trees can as well be seen all the way.
14Kms from Machakos town is the turning to Kithimani. The road beyond Mwala has portholes and sand soil on some sections. It is advisable to slow down on these sections but nevertheless enjoy the scenery. Kambaland looks good when the whole area is covered with green after the rains.
