I bought a used machine so didn’t get a chance to learn from dealer. Going in cold turkey without any training!! This is so helpful.

OH MY GOSH!!! You are the only person to talk about HOW and TEMP on adhesive and stabilizer!! I often use adhesive paper for applique and repeatedly asked "Why is applique peeling off or sticking too much on applique but not fabric?" I know it was a heat issue, but either too hot or not hot enough or just plain old stuff? THANK YOU. Silk setting..I will try.

Thank you so much. This was the best help for puckering. I am a beginner and have had a terrible time with puckers. I can't wait to do my next t shirt. Most of what I have done is initials.

This tutorial is excellent. I just found it by accident, but I was happy to see it since I have the same elf design since last Christmas. Didn't use it because I couldn't figure out how to line up everything, so I stopped frustrating myself. Now that I know there is a video presentation on it, I will be happy to re-visit that project. I didn't take classes when I ordered my machine. Everything was new to me. I started taking classes on the Craftsy platform, and have taken about 10 so far. Thanks for your great tutorial

Good tutorial, but I wondered why you don't leave the template in the top portion of the hoop as you try to center it with the bottom hoop. That way you can see all the reference mark of the template, and the marks on your top hoop with the fold lines of your shirt. This makes it so much easier than lifting up the shirt repeatedly and moving the bottom hoop around, hooping, unhooping, reentering. Do you know what I mean? I hoop with the template in the top hoop, get everything centered referring to the template, remove the template from the top hoop, and attach to the machine.

Hi Jennilee, your videos are great! I purchased some of your design, including the Naughty Elf Applique, at least two months ago, and downloaded them to my computer. I still haven't been able to save them to my jump drive and view them in my Brother PE 770. I feel so frustrated now, because I'm not computer saavy and this is much harder than I ever anticipated.

Jennile, Thanks for making this video. I wanted to ask you if the stabilizer was good for high stictch count designs? If not what would you recommend. I am new to this and my thread breaks often, my knits get caught and bulges, and my fabric shows through the stitches. I want to get advice so that I can finally make a cute outfit for my little girl to wear with your awesome design!:( please help

Dorothy, I don't know if you got your answer. I have a new PE770 also. Had the same problem. I went to Creative Designs and they suggested that I save ONE design at a time on a flash drive. Different designs from different websites look very different on my computer. I never know if I should click on "zipped" or "unzipped" to save a download. Any help is appreciated...
@barbaralies
@barbaralies 10 жыл бұрын
In windows 7, once you download you should click on the zip and the file should unzip automatically. The file that needs to be transferred to the usb or saved to wherever you want it on your computer is the design file (xxx,sew,vip, etc.).

Sulky cut away stabilizer. What do you think? I Bought at Joann and I have a Viking Machine. I've also been told that the heat n bond will mess up your machine with gunk? I am new have no idea? Is the Heavy weight best for 100% cotton Onesies and small Tee's? Thank you

I have a problem with puckers as well. My fabric is cotton/poly blend. I used ordinary stabilizer ( neither fusible or tacky) The design looked really good until I carefully tore away the stabilizer. Then it started puckering. The design was a completely filled design. Should I have used a different stabilizer? After hooping, I stretched stabilizer and fabric till it was really tight before doing the design.

+Dottie Cummings i got sick and tired of my t shirts getting destroyed. i tried everything--the needle, the tension, more stabilizer. but when i used some fusible stabilizer i happened to have it all came together. so no matter what i always use fusible stabilizer or interfacing on t shirts. also designs need a good basting layer to offset shifting in densely filled designs. another thing to do is make a basting rectangle around your design to stabilize that area.

I'm new, please bare with me. After I hoop it the first time, I take it out and do it again. Why does that help it not to pucker? It's so darn hard to get it hooped straight, I can't imagine taking it out once it's in there! :o) thanks, Vicky

Hi there! If you're having issues with getting the fabric flat in the hoop you may need to tighten your embroidery hoop's screw. I'm unsure if this link will work but this is a good hooping tutorial to help you with that: facebook.com/Digistitches/videos/1027763493901313/
