@abhi reddy, I didn't like him to begin with, mainly because my dad used to listen to him (I didn't trust his taste in music), but 2 months after the beef, I gave Kelly a chance. I can say that I don't regret my choice to listen to him... this coming from someone who would listen to absolutely no one but Eminem a mere 2 or 3 years ago.

He's stuck. He usually either has generic/surface lyrics and a great beat or decent, explorative lyrics that don't really sink into complexity fully or dive into a rich theme. Unfortunately, the former already has many great players: Drake, Travis, Post Malone, Swae Lee, etc. The latter also has more skilled adversaries in the market: Kendrick, Cole, Denzel, Lupe, etc. That usually leaves him in a spot that's still niche but that contains other similar artists like Macklemore, Mac Miller, Lil Peep, etc. He's neither bad, nor amazing. He just is... there!

He's obviously not producing these songs for attention or an attempt to get easy advertising money, just look at the views, stupidly low in comparison. This album is honest articulation of feeling, and it appears that was his intention, a true showing of maturation of artistry.

Right now we are in such a mental health crisis we need artists like him. We need to be shown that depression, anxiety, bipolar, etc. doesn't have to destroy us. That we can defeat is. That although addiction has relapses we can still overcome it. We need mgk. He really makes a big impact on many people.

Binge was a rushed project because the Eminem beef was EVERYWHERE. I can only imagine how much the higher ups on MGKs team were pushing him to release a project to try and capitalize profits; however, he should have taken his time and released this LP and it would have much more attention than it does now.

@@rekai6209 Eminem released Kamikaze as a surprise. Took his time after rap devil for Killshot... mgk rushed binge and I just always figured he didn't make that decision. If it were me, I would have take my time (like I said in my previous response) and released hotel Diablo; or I would have responded to Eminem/and or put a fire single out to keep people interested and on their toes waiting for the LP.
