AEG reste une valeur sûre

AEG is now owned by Electrolux Group as is Zanussi. Zanussi washers don't last as well as they did in the 1970s & 80s (remember the excellent Jet System machines?) so I assume that AEG are now not top quality either. Also my Mother has an AEG range style cooker (gas top with electric ovens) and the oven's electric elements do not last well although the gas top is good quality.

@@ULTRAJONATH It's difficult to know what's the best strategy but yes I may well give Whirlpool a try. 10 years ago I would have always said Miele but there are rumours that Miele machines are not as good as they were. I understand that they no longer offer a 10 year guarantee for example. Miele used to be not secretive about the machine's materials of construction but now, on the UK website, they no longer declare the outer tub construction for example. There are machines made in Switzerland (CH) that are meant to be as good as Miele.
