This is the first time I hear Machindrum's music. I see that this track is dividing the fans a bit. I have no Idea why this is disappointing to them since I never heard anything else from him/her/them (again I don't even know the first thing about Machindrum). I really enjoy the texture of the synthlines here. Especially that big "WRIIIIM" (very technical music term) that kinda crashes into the synthline at the end of each bar. Also those drums are really on point, and the structure of the song from the opening crescendo to when we really get into the leitmotif all the way to the end shows some of the songwriting prowess that I miss from alot of the less song oriented electronic music. Long opinion short: I thoroughly enjoy this song, and I feel motivated to dive into more of Machindrum's music, aswell as more of the Ninja Tune catalogue in general.
