In my adulthood I've come to realize something about The Macho Man Randy Savage nobody wants to admit. He's the real GOAT.

Randy was so committed to his profession of pro wrestling. He did a lot for the industry as far as making it blow up and become more mainstream.

The greatest of all time. My childhood hero. The reason I met my wife. I took his last name as my own as a tribute to him when I became a wrestler. I cried so hard the day he died. I wasn't myself for weeks. It was so hard to come to terms with his death. THE World Champion forever!!!!!!

I still can't comprehend this world doesn't have Macho Man!! He truly was the greatest ! I use his example in my sons life! Tears flowed when I was watching this...again. The crowd being silenced during that last half shows the amount of respect they had for him. Great video for an excellent performer! RIP!

I was watching RAW on TV that night and after they finished the tribute for Macho Man....I decided to shut off the rest of RAW. I wanted the tribute video for Savage to be the last thing I saw on TV before I went to bed. Had that much respect for Randy Savage. And you could tell how much the crowd held so much respect, they were cheering a bit during the start of the video, but then Coldplay's music played during the video package and the fans quieted down out of respect until the end. To this day, it's still such a tragic loss for wrestling but also for life in general. Rest In Peace Randy 'Macho Man' Savage.

Amazing! Just absolutely amazing! "Macho Man" Randy Savage left a huge legacy in professional wrestling, especially with the World Wrestling Federation a.k.a. WWF. He gave his heart and put a lot to that company going mainstream during the "Golden Era" in the 1980s. I wished that the wrestlers would have toll the bell ten times to show their respect. And, he should have been inducted into the Hall of Fame a long time. It is a tragedy that he was inducted in 2015. He should have had his flowers while he is alive.

One of the ALL TIME greats will never be another, had it all in my all time favourite era The Golden Era can't beat that era for so many legends, so many memorable moments. Thanks for all the memories 👏👏👏🙏🙏

let's be real. As a professional wrestler not as an actor, savage was bigger than a lot of guys... In his prime I would say macho man Randy savage was realistically about as big as Steve Austin

Macho actually was drafted out of HS by the St Louis Cardinals as a pitcher. Torn shoulder muscle ended his baseball career, so he turned to his dads career

Greatest athlete period. He embodied how wrestling should be performed. The Macho man always put on a spectacle for the fans and deserved all the rewards he received from that... cream of the crop.

Macho was never my favorite wrestler. I always liked him, but I was always more of a Hogan/Warrior fan. I was at a work conference when my buddy sent me a text that Savage had died & i can't explain why, but it hit me like a bullet, almost like it was a family member. I don't think any wrestler alive couldve hit me like that had they passed. What's funny is it seems like it has hit so many people in a similar way. Randy touched us in a way you can't put into words. We love him & miss him

I don't care what people say about Coldplay, this was a fitting song to send him off, and when I marry my fiancé, our first dance will be to that song in honor of Mach and Miss Elizabeth.

This is so fitting. It was the first song queued up for the bride and grooms first dance. When I heard the song play I started to tear up, as it was about 2 months after this tribute was aired that me and my wife got married 😭 The thought to this day will stay with me forever.

Makes me sick that wwe only show respect to Savage after he died. He was a true legend and should have been in the hall of fame years ago but Vince didn't want to do business with him and told any writers that wanted to bring him back never to even mention his name in the wwe. Then he passes away and all of a sudden Vince gives a shit coz it makes him look good.

One Hogan jumped back to the WWF in 2002 to feud with the rock it would’ve made a lot more sense for savage to feud with Steve Austin

I think he had back problems he'd picked up in the filming of spiderman. Michael Hayes said he did pitch Hogan v Savage for a mania a year or 2 after but Vince was not interested in bringing Savage back. It's a great shame he didn't have one small run back in WWE, it really would have been fascinating
