He is a good depth piece, and as we've learned from this past season's injury epidemic, you can't have too many of those. He could be really valuable in Rockford, as well, especially with all of the prospects coming in. I hope the Hawks hang onto him.

Solid interview. My feeling still is that going forward, McKenzie will be a major piece of this puzzle taking form. Have him watch as much video of Marion Hossa over the summer as possible. Two-way forwards who are also PK threats and the Hawks have a way of going well together. In my opinion, however, he could be a bit more careful in who he drops the gloves with. Great drive and energy on his part, for sure. Just know your weight class. There were maybe 3 or 4 guys where it appeared he would have likely been sidelined from injury had veterans not reacted quickly and smothered the situation. You're no help if your efforts to stand up result in you being inactive and down. 👏👏👏
