I had a few mackerel of the walk way last year in one of my older videos I was catching them on prawns mate..don't like to use feathers as I don't think it's right using all the hooks I'd rather catch on a spinner one at a time or the drop shot..great HOW you dispatched your bait straight away and still fish care even if for bait.. great angling mate

I fished the walkway for years and years as a kid and never seen 1 mackerel come out there. So this is quite the eye opening video for me. I didn't know them came that far down the river.

I think its the sprats bringing them into the river.

I would give it a try now, I know the sprats are in the river so they should be following them in best time would probably be about an hour before and up to high water.

A spinning rod and fixed spool reel that can cast up to 60g if your looking to catch them for sport. A bigger rod and fixed spool reel if you plan on using mackerel feathers.
