Andy and Oakster, A nice session on Darwin Harbour. Jeez the queenies were thick to start. Andy the mackerel and tuna king. Oaks Star cashed in as well on a mackerel. What about the beauty the tax man got. Its always fun catching mackeral, particularly sight fishing. We use to catch schoolies and spotties on floating pillies on gang hooks and that first run is always the best part. Then I caught a 27kg spaniard on 20lb mono and i used a short wire trace. He just missed the mono with his teeth. An element of luck in that one. You know you had a good time when the boat ends up like a butchers shop a blood bath. As an old fishing mate used to say Lifes short fish hard. Plenty of fast flowing rod action boys. Chris.

Another great video mate its a lot different between Barra fishing and mackerel but it always great nothing better than when they hit.

So jealous. Been waiting all dry season for the mackerel to hit the harbour. Im now going away for work and won't have a chance to get onto them before the wet kicks in.

Oh yea..Smoked mackerel is probably my favorite fish to eat.. delicious. All that fast reeling had you huffing and puffing lol 😂. Good times though for sure. I thought at first Oaksta wasn't going to let you catch one 😉. Looks like lots of fun. Great vlog Carney.
