I’m about to graduate high school in June and this song really hits hard. I know that this is the last time I’ll see all my friends at once, the last time I can make mistakes without big consequences, and the last time I’m free of all the grown up stress. It’s such a big step, such a big change, and it really feels like I’m stepping into a whole new world I’m not ready to face.

Damn thats how I felt too in hs. You just gotta take it slow and cherish the moment. Don’t rush too hard cause you’ll miss a lot of things and you’ll regret it once you look back as you get older. When this came out I was on the edge of having a mental breakdown. I sat in the kitchen and wanted my life to be over. I was in high school. I had no money, no food to eat and every one I loved had turned against me. I sat there with a bottle of pills contemplating whether or not I should do it, then this started playing on the radio. I started crying and I felt happy after he said I felt some pain I’ve seen some things but I’m here now. I dropped out of school and joined the army and things are a little better now. I no longer worry about not having money for rent or food to eat. I am happy at the moment and I just want to let you know that you don’t have to kill yourselves to end your life. You can move on to a new place and start a new life. Live how you want to live and be happy... 21/10/2020 I know I’ll be back to update this. This is a note to you, the future me I love you. This song hits so hard for me, I want to start crying every time I hear Ke$ha sing her part. I don't know if this song has a different meaning than how I see it but how I see it is that you have to enjoy every moment with family, friends, yourself, etc. Because nothing lasts forever and sometimes you want to go back into the past to undo something or redo it but you can't.

I wasted my entire 4 years of h.s. I did not join clubs, nor made any attempts to make new friends. While seeing my current friends expanding their own social group and having fun, I am in lost of how I am going to rebuild my social circle. Thankfully I opened my eyes when college came around. Listening to this song encourages me to change into a better me. If you're still young, please enjoy every aspect of your life.

Orionary Same. This is like legit me. If I get into college, I am so doing more. These four years of high school, I joined maybe two clubs, one of which our new principal shut down. I have to talk to him about that. And since I'm always new everywhere, the friends I have at my school aren't even really close to me. They have their lives and their friends know everything about them, but with me it's different. I'm just more comfortable with a small group of friends, but in college, I'll try to get out of my shell and do more things and meet more people. I graduate this year, too, so I understand. I think the one main things colleges will look at is that I have six college credits so far. Working on my ninth this semester

I wasted my last two years in online school. Graduating from a school with people I don’t know while all my old friends are graduating from heritage hurts. It sucks and I feel like I went wrong but it’s to late now. Now I have to figure out how to live with this regret and feeling of missing out.

Recently turned 17. People would argue that it’s too young to feel this way, but that’s not how it feels. Being a high school senior who’s heading into college next year, i feel my childhood slipping away so fast. It makes me wish I had cherished my innocence longer, I wish I had done more, and I wish I had known making friends wouldn’t always be as easy as it once was. I got about 5 more months of high school, so I’m gonna try my best to spend as much time doing things without regret. Time is a currency that can’t be earned, but it’s spent every second. It’s such a shitty feeling to think you’ve spent it all on the wrong things/people.

So true. I graduated a few weeks ago and after graduation there was a lock in at this place to give the seniors one last chance to make memories together and to keep people from going out and getting drunk. I went and there were not a lot of people there. I was worried that I wouldn’t have anyone that I knew well to hang out with and contemplated just going home. As I was sitting there in the parking lot I had this random radio station on and this song started playing. It was so perfect and fitting that I just sat there and listened to it. I took it as my sign to go and I ended up knowing everyone there and having a blast. I’ll never forget that moment or that night.

When you get older you realise how just true this song is and how reality hits you when you listen to it! I'm 34 now and remember the good old gaming days with the boys, all those fun World of Warcraft days, the good old Sunday football days, and at one point you start to realise that you are growing apart and that everyone is starting to do their own thing until some of your friends are now living in a completely different country and you barely have any contact with them. But that is life! Enjoy the little things in life, if something makes you happy do it, do not listen to anyone tell you otherwise!

I’m a heroin addicted in recovery. I used heroin for 8 years and I have been sober for over 2 now.🙏🏼 I have a lot of old scars on my arms that really bother me. I was going to cover them all up with tattoos. But instead I’m just going to get “I've got some scars, I've been around I've felt some pain, I've seen some things, but I'm here now” This song helped give me the courage to deal with my past. I’m so grateful. Thank you guys so so much for this!

I'm not going to try and speak for you, but you should never cover up scars. Even if you might have done some questionable things in the past, the scars on your body show who you are, they tell a story. You survived through a hard time. Good job on two years! :D

The good ole days were when I was raising my son and nephew together. It was glorious and amazing. My son and nephew are now in the service. One in Navy, the other in the Airforce. I raised some amazing men. Wonderful amazing memories.

samantha garcia that's not true.. the rape happened before she was ke$ha when she was 18, and over the years he kept emotionally abusing her, leading up to her eating disorder. When she left rehab for the ED in 2014, that's when she removed the $ cuz she's a human being named Kesha, not a product. This was before the lawsuit started already

At 53 I look back at my mid late 30's and feel this song... Unfortunately as we age, every 15 years we look back back and reminiss about what was right and wrong and question our choices. I wish I wouldn't have and I wish I would have... These are the good old days, every day.
