This is a very powerful ad. To answer the question that has been asked a couple times previously, the song is "Where Snowbirds Have Flown" from the band A Silent Film out of Oxford. They are an amazing group of guys who believe very strongly in this cause as cancer has affected us all in some way.

I felt just like that when I received my diagnosis, but I was fortunate that I had my partner to explain what the consultant had said. Ever since he's been my rock, and I can't imagine what it would have been like had he not been a part of my life. I know what it's like to live alone - I did for three years, but he was there when my 'friends' drifted out of my life. Macmillan do an incredible job of being there, even answering my 'silly' questions! No one needs to be alone with that fear.

very moving - and is so true to life for many people. I always go with my husband when he sees the specialists, so that I can be sure I hear what is said, as he often does not hold the information. my dad died of cancer at the age of 49, it was cancer of the bowl, without mac millian nurses and the hospice in chester my dads final days would have been awful, as it is they made him feel whole they was there for him night and day, they do a great job, if every one donated just £2.00 a month they would be able to help more people, 1 in 3 of us will get cancer, 1 in 3, so may be your donation one day will also help them to help and support you or your family member.

The most repeated answer i got yesterday was 'not interested'. Good video, BUT, when I was told I had squamous cell cancer of the throat there was no one from macmillans to catch me, they would not answer the phone, they would not answer the emails that my wife sent ?. Then half way through my treatment I had a phone call, it was macmillans wanting to ask me some questions, ok I said ask me - " what cancer have you got " , second question " does your wife work full time " when I said YES the woman on the phone quickly said " thank you, we will be in touch ". That was over two years ago, never heard from them and never got any support from them, my wife hade to do everything on her own. This is a charity what takes but does not give.

We take feedback like this very seriously and try to use it to make sure that we do better in future. Just send any details you can to community@macmillan.org.uk, I'd be very grateful. Thank you and best wishes - Carol

Macmillan Cancer Support I don't have the energy to write anything more than copy you in on the email I just sent to Macmillan Cancer Support. My brother Jeremy Lives in Reading is 52 years old and suffers with several cancers, Lung, Spinal and Bone, the lung cancer is terminal. He can barely walk and, despite the large daily dose of morphine, is in constant pain from the spinal cancer which is the size of a small football and eating into the bone marrow of his femur and is the cause presumably of his bone cancer. He has been told by his doctors he has about six months to live. Jeremy has been made homeless and is currently in a disgraceful B&B, in which Reading housing placed him, for which he is expected to pay nearly £900.00 per month. He can't cook in his room, he can't make a cup of tea in his room, he can't have visitors in his room, he can't smoke or drink alcohol in his room. What he can do is live on expensive takeaways and sit and muse on his impending death in his room. Reading Housing have banded him "F" the lowest priority banding possible and are processing his application. He might rise up the banding a little if his application to be accepted as homeless is accepted. Reading housing have just told him that he is in arrears and is now being dealt with by a debt collection agency. He may even be evicted from the B&B. This is despite entering into an agreement with Reading Council to split the cost of the extortionate rent. They claim to have no record of this agreement. I live hundred of miles away and have a young family of my own in a small home. His mother lives hundreds of miles away and lives in a tiny one bedroomed flat. I am at my wits end. I have spoken to G P’s, Housing officers, Macmillan nurses, Sue Ryder nurses, Social Services and nobody can tell me why they can't help my brother from ending his life destitute, homeless and without adequate social care. I am bombarded by advertisements on TV and in the newspapers telling me how much our society cares for people in Jeremy's position and how there are people there to 'pick him up when he falls' and support him through his nightmare but so far nobody has stepped up. Please, please, let me know what it is that I need to do to try to give my brother some vestige of dignity and self worth in his final weeks of life. Respite care, sheltered accommodation, hospice care, anything. Thank you Graham Coulson

What happens with all the money donated to Charity if we still haven't found a cure for this terrible illness yet and why is it some drugs you can only get privately?
