Hay, Macmost, Many thanx for this great tutorial, after following it thoroughly i managed to make my own end credits for my newest video, using centered title instead of scrolling as i couldn't get all the text to be exact in place, but the centered title method worked way better for me than scrolled credits. :) .

Gary, do you know if there is scrolling credits in iMovie for iPad?
@aaaaachew2 жыл бұрын
Excellent as usual Gary. More and more people are using their phones for editing, I wish it was possible but I don’t think all of these features are available via the iPhone.
@macmost2 жыл бұрын
There aren't as many titles available in iMovie for iPhone. True that more people are using phones for making videos, but those kinds of videos usually don't have extensive "closing credits" anyway.

Hi Sir. Thank you for this video. Only issue is that I don't have a Mac, I've an iPad Air only and iMovie feels terrible there. In Mac, there's Final Cut pro from Apple. Then I don't understand why they don't provide a good imovie experience in iPad 🤔😔.

it seems that although I choose different font sizes when I'm writing out the credits once I'm finished all text reverts to the same size without variation. Any ideas whet steps I must be missing? Every video of yours that I watch is very informative. Thank you.

Yes. Put the video as a picture-in-picture.

@@opentelemark Right. You have to arrange things to fit like you want. Experiment and play around with it.

Nice video, any affordable sites for creating professional-looking end credits easily?
@macmost7 ай бұрын
Sites? Maybe, but I don't know of any "site" that would do that. Normally you would use tools like Motion or Final Cut Pro, etc.

great video. How could I save the credits I created to reuse in other videos ?
@macmost Жыл бұрын
You should be able to copy and paste from one project to another. If you want, create a project that is just end credits with sample names. Then copy and paste from that project.

Is there a way to add videos or pictures while the credits are going?
@macmost11 ай бұрын
Do you mean as a background? Sure, just add that as the main timeline and the credits text on top of it. But if you want the images to move with the credits, then see kzfaq.info/get/bejne/eqummciG1tSYpWQ.html

Why is there Idle time on my processors when I export an iMovie Project? I would think it would max out the processors! I make sure nothing but iMovie is running when I use it. I have 32gig ram on intel iMac.
@macmost Жыл бұрын
I think on the Intel machine you'd be using the GPU for that, not CPU. Not sure and probably depends on the model and its capabilities. On an M1/M2 there are media encoding elements, FYI for the future.

A simple way to do it would be in Keynote as slides with transitions in-between. Export as video and then put at the end in iMovie or whatever you use.

I need to do scrolling credits for about 30 items. Each has 10. Any idea on how to add 20? When I drag more credits in, they don't start right after the last one, there's a long wait. I tried shortening each one but as you said, it just makes it run faster.

Your videos are great! Would you know how to extract raw footage uploaded to iMovie so I could share it? I see it as media in my Projects, but can't find it as a file that I can share outside of iMovie.
@macmost Жыл бұрын
Usually you just go to the original clip. For instance if it was a file you imported, go back to that file. Or if it came from your Photos Library, you'd go to your Photos Library. Where did the clip originate? If the clip was a file and you deleted that file, then the best way may be to create a blank project, drag the clip into the timeline as the only item there, and then export the project.
