3:56 A bright idea is that you can open the Camera app on your iPhone and use the rear camera on the iPhone to show things around you while presenting and even use better quality front-facing camera rather than on-board 720p webcam on most macs. Or you can use your iPad and apple pencil as a whiteboard while presenting. There are many thing that people can do with this new feature!

Hi Gary. This capability, in Keynote, is excellent and I'm already using it. In my humble opinion, it should also be implemented in Pages and Numbers. I'm sorry that I don't have any important contact, with Apple, to make this idea come to them.

Hi Gary. I've just suggested, directly to Apple, that "live video" to be implemented also on Numbers and on Pages, under the Numbers and Pages menus of "send commentary".

This is a great video! This feature is exactly what I need! I am having trouble with attaching my iPhone to my M1 MacBook Air. It doesn't recognize that my iPhone is attached when I go to Live Video sources as you showed. I am using a standard usb to lightning cord. is that not correct? The phone is charging fine but not recognized as a video source.

Macbok pro 2015. Inbuit keyboard is better or imac keyboard when it comes to typing ?
@WeberBaker2 жыл бұрын
I was playing around with this and I discovered that you can go in and edit the slide layout and you can have the live video appear on that type of slide automatically when you add a slide of that type. So example: if you add a "title and bullets" type slide and edit the layout you can insert the live video. Then every time you add a title and bullets slide the live video will be there. The disadvantage is, once added it cannot be removed individually from slides. But if you know you want live video on every slide of a certain type this could be an advantage. Oh and it seems this is only for the presentation you are working on. It does not alter Keynote layouts permanently.

In the Custom Presenter Display... you are able to click Always Show Live Video. But I do not see it show up in the presentation. What am I missing? The way you have demonstrated in the video is to copy and paste the video in EACH slide - I assumed that there would a quick way to do this.

Yes, you have to place the video element on each slide. It needs to be an element just like any text, images, etc.

Do you know if it is possible to edit the live video once you have recorded it ? For instance trimming some seconds at the beginning or cutting some error in the middle. I see no mention anywhere so I assume that that option does not exist.

Do you mean you record it and then export the whole presentation as a video? Once it is a video file, you can use any video editor to further work with it (QuickTime Player, iMovie, Final Cut, etc).

Select the Live Video. Go to the Format sidebar, then select the Live Video tab. Check "Background" and set to No Fill. (Not sure what the system requirements are for this, but I think older Macs may not be able to do it).

Hi Garry, i am a new user of Apple products, i've jumped from win10 and i really like that but sometimes this system driving me nuts. I was writing to you few weeks ago for advise and i thought u could help me now also. To the point. I love mac touchpad but i am working in word, excel and mouse is always more precise and fast. It was like that in windows for sure. But. Here. Today i bought Magic Mouse 2 and precision is like a 5$ mouse on windows.. How it is possible? I tried to make some competition stuff with touchpad and i made it same time with mouse and touchpad. Is it normal, or am i doing something wrong.. I am really angry about this magic... Or maybe its just like macbooks work with mouses.. Also i need to tell u that i changed the speed cursor with Terminal preferences. It is faster but the precision ...
@macmost2 жыл бұрын
Is you made the mouse faster, that explains why it is less precise. Try reverting that change. I prefer the trackpad over the mouse as Mac trackpads are excellent. Maybe give that a try again. But the Magic Mouse works great too. Try it using the default settings for a while to get used to it. Then only make changes in System Preferences for either one.
