Beautiful, what size is string diameter?

the string is 1mm in diameter and I use Linhasita brand

How would I do this with shells that have a tiny hole and not the back gone?

you need an entry point and an exit point for the string so with only 1 hole is it not possible, you can either try to break the back with a hammer ( that's how I remove the back on full cowrie shells but you have to be really carefully and use a rag, I've broken many shells in the beginnings) or you can try to drill another hole

What type of string?
