You can make this using only 76 meters instead of the called for 90 meters. I've made this design 7 or more times. The lengths I've landed on are: middle cord 150 cm, 14 middle cords 160 cm, 10 side cords 300 cm, 4 cords for spirals 195 cm with 45 cm in the centers and 150 cm on the outers and 1 70 cm for middle knot, I use 14 pieces for the tassels instead of 12 to make them a little fuller and each of those is 30 cm and 2 pieces of 60 cm for the tassel knots, and 33 cm for the fringe because I like it a little longer and it gives me enough to cut it back to my desirable length. I tam able to use all the extra for the fringe etc. because there is still soooo much extra. You could use a lot less but one would have to figure out which cords are which, after completing the pattern because some ends end up really long and some short and that's the challenge. You can't call all of the cords to shortest length for most of the cords bc then some would be too short. Anyways, using my measurements which still leaves a ton extra cord, it comes to a total of 79 meters. If you used the recommended 25 cm length for the fringe, it would be only 76 meters. Measurements (for 5 mm single strand cord): • Middle cord 175 cm • Middle strings to place on middle cord 220 cm 14 pieces • Sides 420 cm 10 pieces • Spirals 300 cm 4 ps + Cord for middle knot 70 cm • Tassels 12 pieces 36 cm + 2 ps 70 cm • Fringe on the sides 25 cm (36 pieces)* * use the cuts for the fringe and cut extra cords if you need

Okay, I redid this with different cord and it made a world of difference! It's beautiful and I love it! My only comment is that I used MUCH less cord that what's indicated in the video.
