In this video I took an neglected car that was very rough and needed a lot of work and after some long hours and hard work transformed it into something renewed and restored. I repaired the vehicle and it took some effort to get it back working but it was worth it. it was a great transformation

Loved this. I like a lot of the American stuff too, but so many of them just casually use massive garages full of thousands of dollars worth of tools to do their "budget" projects, whereas this is much more realistic for most people.

Been watching you for a while doing a great job. This is what I do as a hobby. My best flip so far a 800 quid audi in limp mode which needed a damaged sensor wire repair which was a free repair for me, sold it after a good clean up with new mats for 2500 after only spending 25 quid on mats. Very satisfied customer which was the main thing for me. I don't sell on rubbish, must be HPI CLEAR FSH, perfect to drive and clean as a whistle.

unreal. I am thinking of starting too, but if the customer asks why are you selling or whats the history or how well has it been looked after what do you say? That you just buy them to sell on? and whats that like? cheers
@LAW-fv6ys
@LAW-fv6ys Жыл бұрын
@@hughoneill6555 Once I've gone through the car and im happy it's top notch I either explain I bought it needing some tlc or I say I knew the last owner via a friend (a little white lie I know to provide some confidence from the buyer, which either way won't make a dot of difference to the car itself at all in reality just makes them feel better) and they wanted to sell it on quickly when they bought a newer car. At the end of the day what ever the "story" behind a car any car has the potential to be a nightmare or a dream for the next owner because things go wrong or maybe not. All you can do as a seller is find and fix anything at that time and sell on a good honest car. And if you think a dealership or independent car showroom does anything differently you would be wrong. They may however offer a warranty which I bet 98% of claims are denied due to being "wear and tear" and therefore not covered.

@@LAW-fv6ys perfectly answered and I really appreciate it. And what's the best with vat and tax does it matter if it doesn't have it? And should I add them on when selling it?
@LAW-fv6ys
@LAW-fv6ys Жыл бұрын
@@hughoneill6555 you only need vat registration if you earn above 81k profit. Tax? On the car no, and its not transferable anyway. I am a registered trader (part time or full it's the same really as far as hmrc is concerned), if you sell a few car a year I wouldn't bother, hmrc are really interested and it's only the profit that you have to pay tax on. Above 7 or 8 a year I would register. There is no hard and fast rule, by the book hmrc want their cut if you make any type of profit from anything.. simple.

11:34 funny enough a cleaned engine bay on a used car is a major red flag for many buyers because it indicates that the car had some type of major mechanical issue that the owner couldn't solve. They try to clean up the engine to make it seem healthy on the surface but they might be hiding something like an oil leak or headgasket leak (although you'll notice these things with other signs as well)

If the rest of the car is spotless then it just makes it look like it's been thoroughly detailed. But a spotless engine bay on an otherwise filthy car would be a red flag to me though, for sure.
