Furious by the demise of his wife, he began to alter Madagascar with gory scenes, and made an alternate ending. Here’s is where his life goes downhill: Jeffrey Katzenberg was not amused at what he saw. He was Disappointed in James Winterstone, Telling him he is fired from the studio, and demanded Winterstone to never come back. The rest of the animation staff, made a much better ending to the film to match their demographic. They succeeded, and Jeffrey was proud of the results. In May 2005, Madagascar was finally released on time, like regularly. Years later, he got revenge by sneaking into the studio to make more unsettling deleted scenes/alternate endings for the first two Shrek films, Madagascar 2, and Flushed Away. On October 31st 2021 (Halloween), James teamed up with Adam Kennington and Henry Bowers to create a horror themed THX trailer on a DreamWorks box set, Where an evil clone of Tex destroy the main characters from six of all the animated DreamWorks films (although they’re not THX certified). This particular trailer was made to promote the 21st anniversary of the final destination franchise. As a result, James Winterstone is now permanently banned from DreamWorks.
