Several songwriters tried to write the lyrics for this song, but these lyrics did not convince neither Mia Martini, nor the record company. So they decided to contact famous singer-songwriter Franco Califano and he wrote these wonderful lyrics inspired by then sentimental life of Mia Martini (it was 1973). The description of a situation of emotional dependence was made on purpose. This version is sung live, I prefer the studio version. A detail: this version was sung about 2 years after she had 2 surgeries to the vocal cords, before she had a softer voice.
