Tom is a LEGEND. He has videos online that he's created and posted over 10 years ago utilizing production techniques and concepts that most people still haven't grasped yet. Makes me happy to see the Ableton Live team bringing him back on for more of these.

@Polo Polo He's easy to understand, but definitely not basic. Every time I watch him, I think "Oh, didn't even think of using this plugin in this way.", which happens less with other producers. He's one of the most creative guys on KZfaq and thinks outside the box. Just look at his Ableton sets.

Watching all of these Ableton workflows in the context of building a piece is really valuable for learning regardless of what kind of music you want to make. This really is a wonderful example of how quickly and seamlessly devices and effect chains can be hooked together and automated as well as how easily samples can be integrated and warped to fit in to your piece.

Always a great tutorial from Tom Cosm. I learned something new about building a bass immediately. I often build my basses with a sub and and more of a mid range bass but I don’t roll off the low end on the midrange and group them, then glue them together by adding harmonics. I also dont do call and response in my bass line. Going to have to try this method now see if i get a cleaner bass sound.
