I was born in France and move here decades ago, and I’m now a super proud American citizen totally in love with the most amazing country ever… and when I here that kind of song it gives me goosebumps. LOL! His pop country is pure Nashville trashville. He's a grifter. Staind dried up and he needed to make himself relevant and country is the easiest to grift and make money. He's mediocre at best. Staind first two albums are legit but after that it's radio but-rock.

You probably know these guys, but if not, it will give you a ton of new songs. Some of my favorites are Creed Fisher, Dillon Carmichael, Frank Foster, Aaron watson, Cody jinks, Micky lamantia, Tyler Childers and I'm forgetting a few more but there country. A different genre but David crowder, Ben fuller and Zach Williams. They sing Christian music, but some sounds like country. That's all I can remember currently but hopefully you can find something new. I like Aaron but he's far from a favorite of mine but he's good. He has put out a few killer tracks in the last few years for sure. Am I the only one, let's go fishing, country boy and everybody talks to God are some of his I enjoy.

One of my earliest real memories was listening to my sisters dad sing “it’s been a while” and other Staind covers. Over 20 years ago and he passed away nearly a decade ago and was the closest thing I had to a father figure. Hearing Aaron’s voice puts me right back into that time and place and I wouldn’t trade it for the world
