PT - Para mim, o melhor trilho do lado Sul da Ilha da Madeira.
Santo António é um dos trilhos mais longos que existem na Ilha da Madeira, se contarmos desde o estradão até ao fim, são cerca de 4,5KM com cerca de 900mt de desnível positivo.
É um trilho com muito flow e com muitas curvas para todos os gostos, na parte inicial tem uns rock gardens nível médio.
INFORMAÇÃO UTIL:
- No Trailforks, informa que o trail começa no Pico do Areeiro, essa informação esta errada. O trilho inicia-se no caminho que vai para a Eira do Serrado, num estradão de terra. Descem cerca de 2km e irão encontrar o trilho a vossa direita!

Santo António is one of the longest trails on Madeira Island if we count from the dirt road to the end, it's about 4.5KM with about 900m of descent
It is a trail with a lot of flow and with many curves for all tastes, in the initial part there are some medium level rock gardens.
USEFUL INFORMATION:
- In Trailforks, it informs that the trail starts at Pico do Areeiro, this information is wrong. The trail starts on the road that goes to Eira do Serrado, on a dirt road to your left. Go down about 2km and you will find the trail on your right!

There is a mistake on the video, the real distance of this trail is 4.5km with 840m descent all way down! Enjoy the Ride!!

@@zeroin1991 yes for only 2,75€ you can take the bus from Funchal To Poiso, the trip take around 30min and you can take the bike in the compartiment under the bus, maybe in the future i will do a video explain how we locals do ahah 😅

Thanks for the info! Do you know where we would catch the bus to get up there? Also, if you had to pick to other areas to ride the best enduro trails on the island, what 2 areas/trails would you recommend?

Thank you! You must take the bus in Funchal n°106 Funchal to Poiso, it's only 2,75€ ticket and 30min to Poiso

Another riding areas, Ponta do Pargo and Prazeres, but you will need a shuttle service

Do these trails all require shuttles or are there ways to ride your bike to the top of the trail?

Hi! You can take the bus from Funchal to Poiso for only 2,75€ or you can go with some company with shuttle service available. You can check my playlist "POISO" and see all trails in that area. if you want to go for the west, east or north is only possible by shuttle service
