Beautiful traditional Kazakh folksong... I love this performance. Madi rarely sings so softly since he has this tiger voice... it's Madi "A" ... first pronunciation

What a great performance... Madi 's voice is so beautiful. I love the sound of Kazakh folk instruments especially the kobyz. Madi has done a stunning version of 'House Of The Rising Sun' where he sings his soul out.... it's for the soundtrack of the Kazakh movie 'The Surgeon'

The whole Yeski Taspa series is worth checking out, so many great musicians showcased - I discovered it first on KZfaq and then found the previous season released on Spotify. Then suddenly Madi appeared and I was super excited. I discovered Madi/Madistation on Spotify in 2021 and immidiately fell in love with his voice. I really liked this performance, the use of traditional instruments and the choir is beautiful but also I got to see a new side of Madi as an artist. Thank you so much for reating to this, I enjoyed watching.

the flute is called Qural... a wind-imitating sound... Madi has such a lovely voice, I could listen to him for hours... he's also handsome ... beautiful new arrangement of this "old" song

It is not a patriotic song... Kazakhs have a nomad tradition... it's about a young man who leaves the aul/village, maybe for summer pasture ... he misses his beloved woman and remembers her beautiful eyes

@@TeacherPaulReacts Ah, I understand... he rarely does music like this, but he was invited in this project Yeski Taspa... they modernize folk songs (and old pop songs) with young, known Kazakh singers. I love how he sings it. I never heard him sing like this before. He's an amazing performer... by the way the instrument you liked is a mouth harp/ Kazakh Jews Harp

Dear Teacher Paul, #2 is correct pronunciation for Madi's name. In Kazakh accent always falls on the last syllable. FYI, at the very end he said that the reason he chose to sing this song was because his granny used to sing it. The flute kind of instrument is called Sybyzg'y, and the one you liked is called Shan'qobyz. Thank you for your reaction to Qazaq artists! This is very old traditional song and Madi did a great job using the Qazaq traditional instruments and the Choir for his performance!

N2 is correct The song is not patriotic but a love story a guy leaving behind the loved one. “Spring noise” is shangkobyz. It would be nice to hear comments beyond “nice” “great singer” “authentic” “beautiful” - there is lack of depth in this reaction, your adjectives are somewhat leave want of something a bit more interesting and authentic. Sorry.
