Of all these years of playing volleyball and coaching, I have never admired a player like I do Madi Skinner. She's not only amazing, she's also a team player and she's humble. I love it!❤

The US Women's National Team could REALLY use a hitter like Skinner... a true go-to hitter who can dependably end points. 6'3", athletic, explosive, and damn, she BOTH GETS UP and REACHES HIGH. Her hitting style is so focused on contacting the ball at the highest possible point, and then giving it a good-@ss spank it whatever direction she see's fit. Truly hitting OVER the big Nebraska block, and with such ease and control. She caught my eye last year when she played with Eggleston -- she hits more like the men do, with lots of momentum behind her and a faboulous leap to go flying through the air... Future National Team power-side starter, BOOYAH~! Edit: I would add that Skinner and Franklin are very similary in their ability hit OVER the block and find the open court. They also have the ability to handle a set that's more off the net than expected, take NO approach, just jump straight up and STILL put the ball away most of the time. Definitely gotta consider both of them for US National Team.

Her attacks from the back court is the most amazing thing I've ever seen in volleyball! And her digs, she could be an awesome Libero also

It’s crazy how technically sound she is all around the court, especially for someone who didn’t start playing until 15! She made so many great defensive plays while in the back row or when Texas got out of system. And of course, she is an AMAZING hitter

anyone saying Skinner should’ve been player of the year hasn’t watched Sarah Franklin all season. Skinner had a case absolutely but she really came on during the tournament, which got her most outstanding player, but Franklin deserved POTY she was consistent the entire year and has some of the craziest out of system swings i’ve ever seen. Skinner played well throughout the season as well but don’t discredit Franklin
