I was at that Quebec show. I had a table and was not far off from Darwyn and Mike. I was so starstruck and couldn't bring myself to talk to them. Then I turn around and my wife is chatting with Darwyn. I asked her: "What did you guys talk about???!" My wife told me that they're people. She just asked if they liked the city. So It changed my approached and went to his table and started to chat with him. He was so nice. To this day, I have my signed Batmanfigure and a Teen Titans print over my work table by him. He was amazing.

Mike was extremely kind to me (as a stranger) when I was going through something at San Diego Comic Con back in the early '90s. I haven't seen him since then and did know about his groovy facial hair transformation. What a great guy.

Chris, thank you so much for doing this interview! I've always wanted to meet Mike, but living in the Midwest makes it tough. Been an Allred fan since those early Madman days.

This was so great, Mike is a living legend! I really hope him and Laura come to Australia one day.

DC Comics should call their ultimate line AC Comics. Detective Comics and Action Comics

I have heard creators say that G.I. Joes are an 80's idea that was out of date in the 90's. I can see why some would think that, but if I was tasked with bringing new life to the IP I would make it so it started in the medieval era (though it may have sections of stories (whole stories later on) that go back farther back in time) and were the letters G.I. stood for Galvanized Iron. And maybe they started because Transformers were discovered and documented as they were a myth to most at the time. But lords and their soldiers would mostly fight evil on earth but there would be special forces to fight dimensional threats and sometimes go into those dimensions... Every era would have special forces forces that would often fight in major battles on earth when things got hard, but when threats from dimensions got out of hand the normal soldiers would be outfitted to fight these threats. Maybe with the end of the Cold War some went into sleep (as they often did when Optamus (for good forces) and Megatron (for bad forces) told them they could rest) but then Unicron comes/or wakes up and they reactivate good and bad as humanity to take out the threat.

I've never read the MAX, but I always imagined the Max would live in the outback or SW U.S.

My grail for an original art would be a pice by eastman and laird...however I don't think I'll ever be able to afford one

I have never watched a single Thundercats properties and one day I hope to watch it because the fan base behind it hasn't seemed to wane even after so long with no films or shows.

Did that artists that had a museum keep copies of his work, because if he did even if it was lost the copies should still be around....

G.I. Joe cover is like something I have ever seen in any drawing I'm sure, and if I have seen an illustration similar it wasn't in comics

(talking about rob liefeld "ur friend and mine") Marvel and D.C. Ultimate Universes need to take a back seat to the universe comics needs AN IMAGE SUPERHERO UNIVERSE!!! I know, I know, as a company they aren't built to have a universe because all creators are indepenendent.

A lot of talent comes from Toronto as well.

I was watching a video on Chinese B movies (about a 1 -1/2 years ago) and I was telling myself how they are far better than American B movies I have seen, but most American B movies I have seen are far older than the Chinese B movies, as many of these are less than 10 years old. It used to be that B movies were made by individuals, that didn't have good equipment, and if they did they didn't know how to use it. They often were poor writers. They also did know how to use programs for CGI... Seams that that has changed with many B movies as many film schools have popped up all over American as well as other nations, because many B films from all over the world seam to be of a far better, quality in all regards. Some modern B movies are just as entertaining as top quality films, though some of them I still tell myself would make for even better top quality A films, being their bones could actually be made better as well as the producion and some teqneques that work better with top quality films.

I'm still picking up Wonder Woman for the artwork but Tom King's writing has me about to drop it

I didn't like the writing in She-Hulk. You'd be done 40 minutes of show and nothing happens...woof! More actual lawyering and please have her good at her job 😅 y
