Brendan can't hide his emotions, which before recently was unwelcomed from men. I get it, I (32M) cry at dumb things all the time. But he's so good at harnessing his feelings, he felt appreciative and got it out in such a quiet and personal way that it has weight behind it. I think that's why he is so popular, a lot of men today welcome a role model that doesn't hide the feelings. I certainly admire him for it.

@@dr1295More men need to learn that there is a time and place for stoicism and in basically all other situations it's not only permitted to show your emotions but it's healthy. To constantly deny and bottle your emotions just leads to depression and anger which will eventually destroy you and hurt those around. Took me almost three decades of depression, anger and substance abuse issues to learn that lesson but once I did my life became infinitely better as a result.

Ke reunited with Brendan backstage after the show when Brendan was being interviewed, and the two of them gave each other a big hug, with Ke jumping up and down saying "We did it! We did it! We did it! Wow!" The camera cut off right after Brendan, with tears in his eyes, says "We're still here." Man, that tore me up. Yes, they are still here, and I am very happy they are. They deserved their wins, such wonderful people.

Yeah, same here. I hope they both win. It's kind of hard because all the acting categories have amazing nominees, so it kind of breaks my heart that only one can be chosen as the winner. But I do hope that they win in their respective categories. Both men made incredible comebacks and deserve all the love and support and recognition they get. Truly wonderful.

@@charlesscott6582 Sorry, I disagree. Brendan Fraser has continued to act since Encino Man. He has been able to stay in his chosen profession. (I'm still very happy for him.) Ke Huy Quan is THE comeback story of the century. This is Ke's first acting role in OVER two decades! After displaying such amazing talent as Short Round and Data, there were almost no roles for him. He had to leave acting in order to support himself. This is a MAJOR victory for him - as well as for Asians in general.

I loved Ke in Indian Jones as well as the Goonies, he deserves to be recognized more for his roles. I also remember both Ke and Brendan in Encino Man as well, that was Ke and Sean Astin’s second movie together with their first being The Goonies. Great actors and they clearly respect each other and their performances. Two great guys who finally deserve the praise that they are getting.

I did the same when I saw everything everywhere all at once, called everyone I now to go watch it. Even bought the ticket to my friend who didn't believe in it, and watching their blown away face at the end was worth it. And I'm definitely going to watch the 🐳.

I’m not a huge fan of Hollyweird, but seeing these two men who I grew up idolizing come this far in their careers and make such spectacular “comebacks”… in the past couple weeks they’ve both brought me to tears more than I’d like to admit.
