there's little to no reverb and/or delay used on the vocals...madonna's dry/unprocessed vocals were used on many of the tracks across both music & american life projects ...although i am not sure what "sweetening" means exactly, i do know what it implies, so it's worth noting that madonna started recording songs in 1980 and auto-tune debuted in 1997
