Recently read about this moment in Kate's fantastic book about her family's experiences living in Italy. She said she was so nervous and made sure she had done her research. Afterwards she thought she had flunked it but everyone loved it, even Madonna's managers called to say so. And Kate mentioned that you aren't allowed to have photos with her, but when she was getting ready to leave Madonna called "Kate?" And asked if she wanted a photo with her !! Now that's something. She must have appreciated the interview a lot ❤️🙌 well done Kate, it was so articulate and interesting.

I love this chat. It's not really an interview....but a kind of warm welcome of M by a fellow woman who gets her. We need more of these, instead of same boring questions of how the Madame X was born, or how she came to where she is now...

You can tell when Madonna is comfortable talking with interviewers and this is one of those intelligent non pretentious interviews that she enjoys doing.

First interview I've seen where Madonna's age isn't mentioned. Thank you for that. Her music is awesome. I haven't listened to the whole album yet but the songs I've heard are complex and hot. Madonna has always broken norms and I thank her for doing so and continuing to do so. I hope she keeps giving the regressives the finger, sexily and with a mischievous heart. I'm married, happily, but she's still one of the people I'd run off with for a weekend, and the same for my husband. Even better if we can go together! You still have it, despite the fact that it scares some establishment prudes. Keep producing your art, we need it in the world.

One of the highlights of a new Madonna album, besides the amazing music at display, is the interviews she gives. If the interviewer is good enough and asks the right questions, like here, you get an amazing insight and conversation. I think more than any other artist in the world, you've got the ask the RIGHT questions. If you want to have a light fun sarcastic conversation with her, good, she can give that to you, but she can also give amazing philosophical and smart answers, that not many people read into. Fascinating woman, whatever you may think of her. For someone who is only 23, and grew up on the Confessions, Hard Candy, etc eras, it's amazing to go back to her "older" stuff and see the "Music" and "American Life" influences so I can see why she is her own muse.

Remember how people were so up in arms about Madonna for being sexual 1992-1993-and even back then her interviews always mentioned : how she wanted to have a family-how ambition and hard work brought her success and how being a creative curious person drives her-and Look at our girl today! I really enjoyed this chat, Kate talks to her and asks questions almost like they were friends and you can tell she has a lot of respect and appreciation for Madonna. The new album is great! So different from what we expected!

Madonna has a reputation for being a diva, and she is, but she's more vulnerable than a lot of people realise, and than she generally portrays. A huge part of that stems from losing her mother at such a young age and people also don't realise just how much of an impact that has and how it shapes a child. Narcissistic tendencies are not uncommon in children that have faced such major trauma. Yes, she's full of herself but many of us might also be if we'd been in the same situation. I wish more people would scratch the surface and not just focus on the actions but the reasons for them, and the bigger picture.

This is a great interview. It feels relaxed, genuine and honest. Great to see Madonna let down her guard and just be herself. Also, Kate Langbroek asks really intelligent questions! Can't believe she called us poms though hahaha

Enjoyed the chat. The Madame X I was hesitant during the build up! But after hearing the album I was completely blown away. Not what I'd expected, although pleasant. My first thought was Madonna doing her own artistry and moved from the glamour from the past, and it was the choice in music and richness of lyrics that impressed me. Unexpected, really fantastic album.
