People in australia had to come to see katy perry and britney spears in vegas. Also being in the same boat as Elvis and Sinantra isn't anything to be ashamed of. Now if they had a residency in Alantic City thats a different story. Atlantic City you should be ashamed of. Then Branson Missouri that's the lowest of the low. I just checked the official Branson entertainment headliners and they have celebrity impersonation tribute acts. 20 years ago they had Marie Osmond and Wynonna Judd while 20 years ago Vegas had Elton,Celine and Cher.

The media were able to boycott the "Erotica" album, but they couldn't with the "Girlie Show." Madonna became the female artist with the most successful music tour of the 90's. And today the album "Erotica" is considered a cult album that changed the industry. Madonna IS ALL A QUEEN! ♡.

No one talks about Erotica outside the fan base. No one tries to copy it or cover songs from it. People like Rock and Roll hall of fame can say what they want but the real test is whether the general music loving public see it like that. And the fact is they don't. It is a forgotten album. Her only iconic albums that are widely referred to are Like A Prayer and Ray Of Light. Anything else is just hype. Erotica never influenced a damn thing. And if you think it did, show some examples and evidence.

Daniel Toh The girlie show was filmed on PAL tape in Australia in 4:3, for a payperview special. Just because you once saw a KZfaq video on rescanning film doesn’t change the fact that this concert was shot on tape. It would be cost prohibitive for her to have shot it on film. Breaks would be needed about every 15 minutes to change the film cartridges out. Also, if she had chosen to film this like she did with parts of her 1990 tour, it would be in a 16:9 aspect ratio. We should be happy with this transfer, it’s obvious that they’ve already upscaled this to the max.

@@chickenwing986 ahh… it was recording live by Warner Bros Media. It wasn’t recorded in PAL. It was recorded in NTSC. It was also broadcasted live on HBO. At the time they didn’t record it on film cause not cause it would be expensive. But Madonna then wasn’t recording or documenting like she later would do with later tours. This clip was up scaled by Warner Bros. Cause they are rumored to be upscaling all her concerts for a future release.

Neither Michael nor Prince would do what Madonna dared to do in her work. All 3 have spectacular flashy artistry but Madonna stands out in that there's always a meaning or a statement that push the button in her performances.

@@georgegeorgiev3946 You mean Tommy Mottola who was the CEO of Sony. Prince was a Warner Brothers artist and he stood up against his own label because he feels his contract was unfair. Incidentally Madonna was also under the same label yet she managed to command the same royalty rate as that of Michael Jackson when she became a superstar although not at the beginning of her career as she was not even allowed to produce her first two albums but by the True Blue album, she became such a massive global star to rival Michael's popularity. Michael fought with Tommy later on not Prince, having the same sentiments as him. Meanwhile Madonna enjoyed success after success with her albums with no problems on her contract as she was able to take care of that later on being the smart business woman that she is. Prince actually complained about the special treatment of Warner's that Madonna was getting. Well duh, it's all about selling records and she delivered that's why she could make demands.

SHE IS THE LIVING DEFINITION OF POP ART !! It takes a fool to deny the relevance of MADONNA in the art history of the last century. You may or may not like his message or his artistic proposal, not everyone is prepared or awake enough to understand and accept his message, but no one can deny his talent, his impeccable work capacity and his perseverance. I had the privilege of attending two of THE GIRLIE SHOW tour dates, I was so young and couldn't believe what I was seeing, hearing and feeling. I can never forget those two nights. Being able to have enjoyed this live, a few meters from her and all those who accompanied her, it really makes it impossible for me to find the right words to express what I felt. By that time I had been able to enjoy live performances by TINA TURNER, PRINCE, INXS, etc ..., and without detracting anyone (they are all excellent artists, incomparable in their own way) the '' girlie show experience '' is impossible to beat . I can only thank the universe for having been contemporary to this GREAT AND SUPERLATIVE ARTIST and to you MADONNA: THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU

Madonna's voice 😍. She had volume, power, growls and she controlled it greatly while singing LIVE and dancing at the same time (no playback or pre-recorded vocals, unlike other bitches). I loved Madonna's voice during _Evita/Ray of Light_ phase but this is my favourite Madonna's vocal style ever. I wish her voice were still like this. Queen 👑.

This is very first show from Madonna, I was just a kid… and Im still a kid, this was absolutely great show, so personal, so good but you cut the video on the most amazing and representative moment of the show, Why´s it so hard is the SONG for real fans!! That was such a intimate moment for all of us in there, right after came In this life to make us feel even better with that intimate moment full of people but so intimate. I downloaded this tour in Emule when I was 12. I remember spending hours and hours infront of my computer watching it and i can't describe with words what I was feeling. She made me feel safe. I knew there was a world beyond my town thanks to her. Always grateful for that

I remember being 22 and going to the opening night of the world tour at Wembley Stadium, it was incredible, no screens to compensate, just full of songs and dance breaks between, it was incredible
