What I love about this performance is that while it's a song sung by a femme fatale in the movie, this comes across as pure Madonna. Instead of being merely a sex kitten, she shows a powerful blend of aggressive masculine energy with a traditionally feminine songstress role. It captures the lyrics of the song well because it's about an aggressive and sexually confident woman who 'always gets her man'. She sings this with ferocity and almost an aggression... very powerfully. I don't think the worlds seen anything quite like her before or since.
