Because of the licensing agreement on laser discs, (remember those) which prevents it to be produced in other video formats. At least someone here long time ago commented which may sounds silly but then again makes sense. So I guess Warner should renegotiate that agreement maybe next year when she lets them take the reigns back again they will fix it.
