This song should be #1 Dance Music ever in music history, no other Dance music can beat " Vogue ". Even though it came out in 1990 but is never dated, people still go wild when it plays in the dance club.

Hey this was Iconic but number 1 ever, Nah I disagree. Love Shack, Seal, Blue Monday, Personal Jesus, Tainted love, Frankie Goes to Hollywood ~Don't do it. I played music in Florida from 90~2002, I've seen people sit down while Madonna Played and freak out for "Cotton Eyed Joy" so there is no clear #1, Listen to Madonna Wipe the floor with about every pop singer when she performs "Don't cry for me Argentina" listen to her fullness in that song. She has to be 50 or more. Seriously the Macarena probably sold more copies ~ songs like Macarena should be put in a locked lead chest and dropped into the Mariana Trench. \

This woman is still kicking ass and taking names. She told Dick Clark on American Bandstand that her goal was to "Rule the world." And she did. She’s unstoppable!!! She’s a fearless visionary. Constantly evolving, creating, changing, discovering, perfecting, expressing, dominating, and so much more. The woman is a iconic dynamo. I’m so honored to have witnessed her growth from the very beginning when I was 10 back in 1983. Falling in love with this cool, sexy older woman on MTV. All decked out in cool, black street clothes with a black fishnet top on in her Lucky Star video, winking off camera and flashing her belly button. And at the beginning and end of her video styling her black ray ban sunglasses with that bad ass look in her eyes. I thought she was the coolest woman on the planet, and still do. This woman has paved her way in a mostly male run industry....Nobody was putting her into a corner. They call her a bitch because she speaks her mind and has worked hard to be where she is. Nobody gave her anything. She played hard ball with the best of them and won. She conquered a lot of taboos and took on topics other artists were too afraid to mention or touch on. She really is a pioneer. The ambition this woman has within her could set the world on fire. That's why she is the best selling Female Performer/Artist of ALL TIME! No matter how old she gets, she’s not slowing down, and why should she. Who made it a rule that a woman should take a seat at her age?!? Men sure don't. The hands of time, and the passing years are not going to stop her. She continues to burn bright & shine like a beacon. Her light has never faded. Someone like Madonna only comes along once every millennium. A true cultural worldwide icon. Michael Jackson, Whitney Houston, Prince, & George Michael are all gone, but she IS STILL STANDING. That says a lot. Thanks Madonna for the unforgettable music, the legendary music videos, the sell out concerts (which you still keep doing), and all the fun in-between. You made my early years, my teen years, my 20s, 30s, and now in my mid 40s still fun. Used to go to Catch One in LA in the 90s. Madonna and other celebrities used to go there sometimes. Madonna was known for going to clubs in places like New York and LA and that's where she would get a lot of inspiration for her choreography. Vogueing was big in the New York Clubs well before this song hit.. Great time to be alive!

Dude! You absolutely nailed it! I love the prolonged opening. That synth work and bassa at the beginning is the best part of the song. You got the point. Overall, THIS is the way it should have originally been composed. This is a MUCH better arrangement than the original. This is now my favorite version of the piece. I am really impressed. How does one rearrange a song this way? What club DJs do and how they do it (the editing) mystifies me.
