First time I heard this song was in Prag, 2001. It was at a club with 4 stores, man... i thought i was in heaven when i heard this song.. everything just stopped... like i got paralyzed.. amazing! Very powerful song! love it!

This is an extended remix of the music video version(you can hear the sound effects). The music video version was an edit of the above and beyond remix. This track got passed along early 2000's file sharing programs and got mislabeled as a Paul Oakenfold remix. It's always been the Above and Beyond remix.

And the video version itself is a little different to the A&B radio or club edits. There’s an electronic trance backing that’s used in the A&B radio and club edits that doesn’t appear in the video version, which I like better.

IF this is the A&B mix, they are so ridiculously similar you have to wonder why whoever did it second even bothered. That aside, this is a truly incredible mix, well ahead of its time, it still sounds fresh today. When an artist picks your remix over their own version as the official release you know you 're onto a winner.

Used to listen to this through headphones while daydreaming on chemo therapy for my cancer 10 years ago. It's such a good life background soundtrack. Gotthat kind of nostalgic sound to it also.

Even 20 years later, and this masterpiece by Above & Beyond is STILL mislabeled as a Paul Oakenfold remix! This is actually an extended cut of the video mix used in the official video. Check out: Ayu - M (Above & Beyond Remix), that was produced around the same time... You will surely recognize their unmistakeable production style at the time.

I Grew Up At A Time When Trance Music Was Just Coming On The Musical Scene And It Was Exactly What I Looking For In Terms Of Melodies, Harmonies, And Lyrics, If Lyrics Were A Part Of The Track. Early Trance Was Somewhat Repetitive And Did Not Appeal To Me At First. But I Was Get My Hands On Some European Trance, That’s Where I Found What I Was Looking For. Man I Miss The Old Non Commercial Trance That Came Out In The Early 1990(s). Thank You Once Again For Your Positive Response.

@TechTrekTrance...From what I know The Paul Oakenfold version is rare and at the time when I wrote the comment I searched for the Paul Oakenfold version on you tube and couldn't find it. When I heard this track years ago I had no idea that it was even Madonna, all I knew that I was listening to a DJ Mix of trance songs and this was one of them and it always caught my attention. I luv to listen to female vocals, hymms, spoken word in Trance. I'll have got thorugh some of my mixes and find it..

I have always been confused about the Paul Oakenfold and the Above & Beyond remixes...their both the same, just edited different??? The intro for example...there's a loop. The version I downloaded starts and ends different, it has a "stronger" build up...specially towards the end of the song where the last "in this woooorld" is said and a continuous "for a girl" line is spoken.

Can i hear this particular remix of Paul Oakenfold? I know this one is from Above & Beyond aka Oceanlab and has nothing to do with Paul Oakenfold (Uploader doesn't wan't to change the name since he will get much more views if he have the Paul Oakenfold Remix name written all over it) - and is still kinda better know to an wider audience than ABOVE & BEYOND. It's shame to give someone an credit if he didn't deserved it for an particular song. By the way A&B is consisted of three trance producers
