Thanks Ian. I just got my first printer which is a P1S combo and I learned more in this 11 minute video than the few dozen other videos I’ve watched. I’ve been using the included pla while getting used to the slicer and printing in general. This video gave me the pep talk I needed. Gonna give some fpv prints a try.

The maximum print speed is defined by the "Max volumetric Speed" in the filament settings. The "Generic TPU" profile has a "Max volumetric Speed" of 3.2 mm3/s. This results in a maximum print speed of 40mm/s with a 0.4mm nozzle & 0.2mm layer height (regardless the higher print speeds in the provided/chosen Process Preset, they will be ignored). Bravo! I wish that all how-to videos were this thorough and simple! My only question now is speed. When I look at the required speed for my filament, it says no more than 50mm/s but the standard Bambu Studio settings show 200mm/s print speed. I thought that when I told the machine that I was using TPU, it would give me settings usable by TPU. Should I print at the higher speed, or should I use the recommended speeds and top out at 50mm/s? Thanks for a great vide!

TPU 95A should be fine at a fairly slow speed, more flexible stuff will likely be more problematic? I have flexible 65a, 85a and 85a, filaments & for the very soft stuff the extruder tensioner will need to be relaxed as in my experience the softer filaments will just get chewed up in the gears otherwise. I would also not fancy trying to push very flexible filament into/aling the bowden tube, its likely to be hard work.

I was expecting to be able to use it with the print option but that only supports the AMS materials... Why isn't color 0 the filament on the aux hub hanger? Second, can an AMS hub be used without a second AMS to feed alternative filaments like TPU and CF filaments?

So I’ve tried the 3D printed y splitters and I’m fed up, I’m buying the 4-in-1 adapter from Bambu, it’s only $5

Thanks for the vid, it really helped me... BUT, I have tried a few different TPU brands in my P1P with no AMS and many brands would not even feed through the feed gears or hot end.. they just appeared to get tangled round the feed gears, which was a right royal pain in the rear to get access to and unclog. indeed I ended up just buying a new hot end as even after clearing the clog in the gears I could not get any other material to feed through the hot end. I did alter the feed spring too to no joy..... Eyeron is the only non bambu brand I have actually been able to feed through the Bambu lab P1P... PS I usually use Overture TPU on my other printers, ( Elegoo Neptune 2s) just fine... Any thought or advise? Thanks in advance Ian FuriousRC

I just seen a clip where someone tricked the printer to think the TPU was PLA but they changed all the filament setting to TPU and were able to use the AMS

Ive used flexibles with one of my ams... i heavily modified it though. Been considering making some youtube videos because i also am starting to reverse engineer the ams and want to make a custom one by using an arduino to intercept the pins from the printer and trick the printer into making it think my ercf with 8 materials is 2 ams. Wondering if anyone has tried it yet
