Great shots, well done. Maybe just as side note (also maybe for other visitors/photographers) in Slovenia: Don't just get hooked on classic instagram locations (Ljubljana, lake Bled, Postojna cave, Piran etc), everything it reachable by good hour drive from capital, Ljubljana. There are so many places worth visiting, not just because of nature, but also because of people and authentic experience. East side with Pohorje, Maribor, Goričko, Pomurje, Celje etc, west side with classics as Triglav national park, Soča river, al+ready mentioned lake Bled and Bohinj (i prefer this one, to be honest), Postojna, Piran etc. But then we go more little more specific with southern regions like Kras, Dolenjska, Kočevsko etc and one that i must notice (since it is a place, where i grew up), Bela krajina with Kolpa river, which can be also very good source for photography, especially in upper stream. There, just as some of my personal quick travel tips/directions, if anyone is interested.

Thanks a lot! I am sure many people will benefit from those tips 😊 - many more places to visit next time I'm in the area 😁

To be honest,I find it facinating that "everyone" are so motivated to photograph the same famous scenes and locations as everybody else. Guess I am just different, who have no interest in photographing the scenes that everyone else like to photograp and you have seen x times on the internett. Anyway, nice place and some nice photos! Cheers from Norway
@petercollins78489 ай бұрын
Yes, you can see lots of duplicate photos of the ‘honey pot’ scenes on the internet, but they are not ‘your’ photos. That is why people like to photograph the scene for themselves. I would not like to visit a beautiful place and then paste someone else’s photos into my travel album.
@danielpedersen68959 ай бұрын
@@petercollins7848 But it still the same spot and if you explore a little, its possible to find a lot of beautiful places just for your self. Exploring is the best part about landscape photography anyway, in my opinion. And Its much more orginal, if you ask me. Anyway, people must do what they ever want to do, but I still dont understand it :)
@freundderbergeat9 ай бұрын
For me it’s the opposite! I find it really fascinating, how different the photographers approaches, the implementations, and - at the end- the results of one and the same object can be. Love it!
@RobbyPedrica9 ай бұрын
It seems you are only looking at the subject, but an image is the sum of all its parts which means that every image is infinitely variable. This is the meaning of photography.

Absolutely love this video Mads! Slovenia is such a gem, and being from Croatia, it's like having this incredible neighbor right next door. I've been to Slovenia quite a few times, and places like Bohinj, Mangartsko sedlo, Peričnik and Kranjska gora, Logarska valley, Tolmin gorge and Vintgar gorge and the stunning Soča Valley with Soča river are absolute must-visit destinations. Thanks for showcasing Slovenia's wonders! If you haven't already, consider exploring these gems in your future videos. Happy travels!

In Austria, there is also a castle on the water. Ort Lake Castle, Gmunden The early history of this ancient stronghold is shrouded in myth. It was first mentioned in documents dating from the 11th century and in the course of its long history it was owned by several very powerful families. In 1634 it virtually burnt to the ground and the 17th century reconstruction has been retained almost in its entirety. In the reign of Emperor Leopold I, the castle on the lake came into the possession of the Habsburg family and 80 years later it was purchased by Duke Johann Nepomuk Salvator who had bought the castle on the shore some time earlier. He then changed his name to Johann Ort, calling himself after the two castles. After falling out with the imperial family, he set off on a voyage to South America but never arrived and was presumed dead. Today the two castles joined by a 123 m long wooden bridge.
