I worked in London for nearly 20 years and lived there for nearly ten. I don't think any Home Sec, regardless of political affiliation, can have any input on the matter of Harry's security because the type he's after would be publicly funded and the rules of public accounting are pretty firm. I'm usually a moderate person but I struggle to find much sympathy for Harry and his security concerns. In part because he chose to leave the RF, chose to live in the US and chose to lead a high-profile life. He had enough money to leave and live a very good life on the money he already had, and there were ways he could have done so while retaining a decent puiblic image. It's been his choice to aim for more riches than he had and to be a divisive character. It's another example of Harry seemingly being unable to rationalise cause and effect and to accept responsibility when things don't go as he thought they would. The other reason I'm struggling to be sympathetic is that while I am of the view that Harry in genuinely paranoid and that his paranoia fuels his security fears, I also know that there are many, many people in both the UK and the US who are mentally unwell and suffer the same fear that someone or something will harm them. I'm sure they wish they could have someone to stand guard over them, but it's never going to happen and they have to cope with a life that I feel is probably far more distressing than Harry's.
