@@19franken95 and he was writing same thing patriotic. This composition was written to incite the Italian to rebel against the stranger occupying forces in Italy. So he used the music to give them the rebelius spirit needed to fight the other soldiers . at the time Rossini was a papalino meaning a citizen of the pontefic state. Supported by the French the Austrian and held Europe. Is fast pace is due to excite the spirit of the rebels against everybody. Viva Rossini e Verdi.

I've probably watched this 100+ times and love it every time. Between the conductor's actions, the gray bearded cello player and the first violin the enjoyment they are all having with this wonderful piece makes it just a special video. Thanks to all of them for their performance.

One thing that stands out when watching it is that the conductor has no music in front of him and no one in the symphony is looking at the conductor but they are all in sync.

GRACIAS!! 💕💖🧡🙏

I rarely listen to classical music, but I was amazed at how well this bunch played this piece at that tempo. Fantastic!

@@wotan10950 There's a lot of debate of just what metronome markings meant. Here's an interesting perspective from the POV of the Beethoven quartets. thebeethovenproject.com/how-fast-shall-we-play/

Absolutely brilliant. I actually spent as much time watching the conductor as I did the orchestra.

Best version of the finale ever played by any orchestra. Period. And the conductor walks off afterwards so casually. The ultimate mic drop.
