The Main Theme was composed by Karthik Raja i.e the Raw Tune which is in turn derived / taken from Ilaiyaraaja's Very Own Aaagaya Vennilave song(Said By Karthik Raja) The Orchestral Music ,The Arrangement for the Main Theme and the Theme Variations and Other Themes were Written by Maestro Ilaiyaraaja. It's the Orchestral 4 Part Harmony ,that evokes the Emotions and not actually the Tune. The Tune is obsolete compared to the arrangement.So Don't come and comment that Karthik Raaja composed this and try to discredit Maestro.

Yes, but saw this movie continuously for 3 times when I was doing my uni. Music is amazing and very very emotional. This film run for 175 days because of music. If we remove Ilayaraja’s music, this film is a rubbish one. But that fellow Kathir didn’t even acknowledge him in any of his interviews

Same here, though I was in my teens when this movie was released. A Telugu guy, but biggest fan of Illayaraja sir. I come here to KZfaq to listen to sir’s BGM just to get myself lost in my world…remisce great 80’s and 90’s

These are the works of Maestro, which we enjoyed in school days, without even understanding its true values. When we hear now, even though we could not understand it in full, technically, but it easily transports to those days. Re-kindles... everything.

Masterpiece from the Maestro. Raaja is a magician. Without any visuals the music transports you to 30 yrs back .. evokes the same feelings you would have experienced watching this movie.. brings back sweet memories of those moments and days.. Wow!! This is worth more than 1000 Oscar's. Long live the King of Music. Thanks @navin for helping propagate his work for the benefit of music lovers

Navin, i love you. Getting my 1st love memories under this mega bmg. Mh heart is hurting but in the good way. There is only music which can witness my pain, this is awesome. Writing a poignant scene listening to this is like letting the water go through the field. Only roses can blossoms. A note about Murali which was immortalized by this character. Love Pain is the most romantic stuff in life. How it will end ? In a good way, be positive and magic could happen In your life that's also Ilaiyaraja sir music do
