In D Amazing's video he discusses those Shoulders. He talks about how he is dealing with them for poses. Also he asks if it's a QC issue or if the shoulders are like this for everyone. Guess it's the latter.

This figure looks great! I really liked the movie so this is tempting. And the shoulders aren't a massive problem for me because I can't think of any pose that would require me to put his arms all the way up.

MAFEX is such a hard company to support yet you can't help but cheer for them. I have my MAFEX Robocop and it's the best figure I've ever seen from the character sans the Hot Toys Deluxe Ed. They also released the best Batfleck & a legendary Spider-man in comic style. On the other hand, they fumbled big time with Cyclops & Wolverine when they should've been home-runs. And now? This Shazam's sculpt is great and the faceprint is better than ever...however those shoulders look Marvel Legends Tier (I can't stop noticing how unnatural and round they look) and they function even worse. All in all a good figure that could've been great. I think companies have to do better if they're asking for premium prices. What do you think, Robo?

Great likeness, love me some Zach/Chuck. Ya, the shoulders and overall size of the figure aren't great, but the did awesome on the photo real. Always been an advocate for the iconic Captain Marvel cape and costume. But overall an ok figure. Keep on Fwooshin brother.

I think the shoulders seem like a very unnecessary design trip for mafex, but i think it should be relatively easy to fix no? Add friction to the butterfly ball, shave a little off the shoulder sculpt. The shoulders being a bit exposed can possibly be hidden by the cape. Otherwise solid release, fantastic head sculpts.

Don't like that they made the wrist balls gold rather than skin tone. I'm 99% sure he never fires lightning from his palms, would have much preferred Emperor style hands with lightning bolts coming out of multiple fingers, could also be used to match the "lightning from my hands" scene :P 10:33 and yeah that drives me absolutely mad sometimes! 😢 Just recently got their 3.0 Dark Knight and it made it really disappointing because it was like the lower waist joint was spring loaded to tilt to one side

I like my copy despite the shoulder joint they chose. He strikes most poses well and he wasn't exactly doing open arm attacks and pre-bear hug poses in film so meh. Plus he looks amazing next to the MAFEX Justice League on my shelf. Fun stuff.

If it's Fawcett Comics then yes it's Captain Marvel. If it's DC Comics it's Shazam. Check out the history. Warner Bros and DC Comics were being petty because the Captain Marvel comic books was outselling both Superman and Batman comic books back in the thirties. So what does a petty company do like Warner brothers? They go and they take faucet comic books to court citing "copyright"

What the hell did medicom do with those shoulders T_T they were perfect in the Justice League line. And somehow they reverted back to the stone age and did that kind of design with the shoulder joint. 🤣 i have it on pre-order, but compared to the overall package, I think the good outweighs the bad on this one. 😊

Beardy as much as I agree with you about Mafex always tripping over their own feet honestly it is a VERY Japanese thing to do; they always seem to want to do little tweaks and changes along the way rather than overhauling their system in a big way... it is simply a design philosophy As much as I would want them just to go to a design for a base body and go from there (hell, the Boba Fetts from 3 years ago where basically perfect) it is their way of trying to improve things and honestly I rather have a base body style and be done with it but looks like it isn’t going to happen Cool figure still
