I have thought of this question often. My advice to my 20-year old self would be: 1) don't take everything so seriously, 2) everything isn't about me; 3) the decision comes first, the commitment comes after; 4) don't let fear rule your life.

This man has some quality people following him. Some hold power and look to him for guidance, life lessons. Your opening caught my attention. Humans in general aren't good people, we're all trying man. Don't be too hard on yourself. Just remember that extreme circumstance brings about extreme emotions. If you give in to the emotions you will suffer extreme consequence. Think before you act. Most basic, most important.

Excellent advice on education. Unless you're going to graduate with honors don't go. Regardless of what you do, be on time, be organized, and communicate. Also, don't get too frustrated because you will have a dead end job or two. Just keep grinding, and don't throw anyone under the bus.

Mr.Franzese, its a true honor hearing your words of wisdom as a 20 year old man himself currently in this moment in time . Id always pass on the chance to speak or communicate on your channel but with all honesty it be such a blessing right now for whom is asking if you can make a video about the reasons & evidence you obtained through the time spent researching on the Christian faith, & what was the occurrences that showed you why you should ultimately end up becoming a man of the lord . I see that you have honestly became a soul that was once divergent from your true purpose which you are now fulfilling with upmost prosperity, it must be God because in my eyes, how are you are the only one whom is living freely & surrounded by blessings when being from the life which unfortunately has been surrounded by suffering & the embodiment of pain itself . Your guidance + wisdom feels true to the heart with no facades felt on giving the realities & perspectives of the nature behind what you experienced through out the decades, a true sense of inspiration in the realm we inhabit in my mind . Anyways to whoever is reading this, your more then what you thought possible & even if i don’t know a face to the person currently, just know that im thinking about you & truthfully hope nothing but prosperity + serenity to yourself, loved ones, & whoever you come into contact with wherever your seeing this from & remember please that for a dark night there is a brighter day . 🌙 🌎 ☀️

I never thought a few videos could make such difference. At first i accused him of not being honest and similar nonsense in comment section. After a few days it somehow dawned on me it was not right thing to do so because i was noticing my pretty aggressive attitude and comments towards things i didn't like (US government, corruption, scandals...) became much softer. It also made me a lot more understanding and relaxed. I feel sorry about those comments and inappropriate approach to problems. @Anonymous Commenter what if your sense of justice goes against the law? (making you a criminal by definition) What if your strong moral code leads you to law breaking and criminality? @Anonymous Commenter You implied that a criminal could not possibly be a person with a strong sense of justice. I'm curious that morality often contrasts with the law, and what really is right or wrong? If you fundamentally disagree with the law do you just go along with it, or do you become a criminal?

Every young person needs to see and HEAR this video!!!!!!!!! You are a phenomenal speaker and interviewer, but, I personally, believe that our destinies have already been .mapped out. While we want to think/ believe that we are totally in control of our lives and, we have been given a brain/mind to commandeer our way through life, if, you live long enough, and reflect about where you are presently, one has to wonder about predestination. Look at your life story and who you are now. Wishing you and your family the best.

Even though I wish I heard what Michael said in this video from my parents, or even from a pastor back in the day, I'm grateful for hearing it from him and grateful to God for finding his KZfaq channel. Great work, God bless!

Michael Franzese, I really enjoyed this video. Watched it a few times over again. I thought about what I would tell myself at 20 and there are a number of similarities in the advice. GOD Bless.

You are who you surround yourself with….and who you choose not to or at least keep at arm’s length. People will either be assets or liabilities to you…and that changes over time. Hold your assets close and treat them well. Weed out the liabilities.

Another thing i gotta say Mr.Franzese i seen a show about your family and absolutely no question know you have found your peace brother. It was when John jr rolled on your own Dad. And you basically said nothing you can do about it now but john has niece's he needs to meet. I know your Dad may have been upset but im telling you that not one Father couldnt be more proud of what you did. after all that you gave him forgiveness thats huge. Im not in the family and i was heated over what he did. No way could i ever roll on my Dad or anyone thats Family its just protocol. Thanks for everything love the videos.

The best looking 70 year old i have seen in a long time. Great speaker and you give advice from the heart. You are the real deal, a man's man cut from the old cloth. They don't make men like you anymore. Your so much like my father it's crazy.

Mr . Franzese, You are an inspiration in my life. I watched some of your content and I am a huge fan. You mentioned some good points about failure and confidence. Don't be afraid to fail. Always have confidence in myself. Find your moral compass. Thank You. You are the greatest I'm in medical school myself and it's rough but somehow someway I tend to keep going, keep pushing, because I learned that I can't give up I can't back down. If I fall, I will get back up 10x harder.

I always tell my students that they need 2 things to be successful. 1) have the courage to step out of your comfort zone and 2) when (not IF, but WHEN) you fall down, have the confidence to pick yourself up, dust yourself off, figure out what went wrong and how to correct it, and then go out and do it.

You're 100% right, the extreme push to go to university is ridiculous the past 20 years. I followed the trend, went to college broadcasting and film. Graduated and didn't really use it. Ended up rethinking things took a few night courses and now have been an HVAC mechanic for 10yrs. Was a much better decision
