Best way to hide a body is to paint it like a mannequin… Have you ever noticed that people who find bodies always say “I thought there was a mannequin dumped by the side of the road.”

We all did man… we all did… (I mean, most of us… I went the old school US LBV route, which was terrible, then an SAAV which was worse, then Flecktarn PLCE which was mediocre, then the LA vests… but I got there in the end)

@@magaz well I'm only a beginner... But notice most people have plate carriers and vests. I was okay with just a pistol, but now I have an AR I need somewhere to stash my pistol, mags and grenades

There is a separate insert for .308 magazines. It holds two, give “Viper VX Double Rifle Mag Sleeve XL” a googs and you’ll find them

If you go with the ready rig, you will be able to carry slightly more as standard, but it isn’t modular, so you’ll be stuck with the setup. I’d always recommend modularity, it will allow the rig to grow with you and mean it’s easier to use with different platforms

The jacket is the result of having a raging boner over Hannleitasa's work on Instagram and owning a cheap as chips sewing machine. It started life as a standard length Desert Night Grid parka. I cropped it to mid length and added an elastic draw string at the waist. Added a zipper. Where the flaps are to access whatever the original owner was wearing underneath are, I used some of the excess fabric I removed from cropping it to make actual pockets. I also added raid style pockets to the shoulders with velcro for ID patches. And removed the elastic in the wrists, replacing it with a velcro cinch closure. The Parka cost about £50 on ebay, the elastic, the stopper things for the elastic, zipper and velcro cost about £10-15 in total and then it was a few hours work on the sewing machine. I'm planning a second one where it's a pullover parka instead of a zip up. And I'm making a pattern to make the same jacket out of different fabric. I tried during lock down to wing it and make the same jacket without a pattern in Swedish M90, but it went a bit tits up. It was a Surplus Desert Night Grid parka. I broke out the sewing machine one night and I cropped it at the waist and added an elastic draw strong. Used the excess fabric to make raid style pockets on the sleeves and make pockets in the access slots (where the original parka allowed the wearer to reach through to access the pockets of whatever they wore underneath) snipped the elastic from the cuffs and added an adjustment strap secured by velcro. Also added a zipper. Inspired by the Krus cut parka by Hanleitassa on Instagram.
