Do you think the laser is worth it? I went to a see a dermatologist for keloid scars. She mentioned I have melasma and sunspots. I always thought they were freckles I've had them since I could remember. The only time I don't see them in my childhood pictures are when I was a baby (cameras back then weren't that good though). I clearly have dots on my face for my close up preschool pictures. I'm so used to seeing my face like this and as I get older I feel like you accept yourself more for how you are. I'm wondering if this dermatologist is just trying to sell me on more procedures. I've seen 3 dermatologist my whole life time. The other two never said anything about it they were also men. This is the first female dermatologist I've seen and I'm 30.

I’ve had it done and it’s definitely worth it. I’m olive/tan with melisma. If you choose to forgo, just make sure you’re using sunscreen over 50 spf and stay out of the sun as it exacerbates melisma
