Magdeburg is a central German city on the Elbe River. In the city center, the Gothic-style Magdeburg Cathedral is the burial place of the Holy Roman emperor Otto the Great. The Museum of Cultural History details the city’s medieval importance with exhibitions on archaeology and local history. Kloster Unser Lieben Frauen, a Romanesque monastery complex, is home to a contemporary art gallery and sculpture park.

Согласен со всеми комментариями про незабываемый и перестроенный, прекрасный Магдебург! Сам я впервые попал туда в мае 1976 года из классного города Новосибирска! Служил срочную службу в Кракау до апреля 1978гг Был в разных районах города тогда. Заметно как похорошел и перестроился чудесный Магдебург, как и наши города. Делал покупки в Центруме, теперь Карштадт. Прибавились много новых магазинов и ресторанов, торговых центров типа Сибирского Молла и Ауры в Новосибирске. Больше людей стало на улицах и трамваев больших, велостоянок, скульптур. Пусть и дальше процветают наши города! Пусть всегда будет мир и дружба между Россией и Германией! Пусть греют воспоминания душу обо всех городах где я бывал! Старею теперь в небольшом городе Воронежской области. И часто вспоминаю прекрасный и уютный Магдебург!

It's clear that there are lots of leftover Soviet architecture. I guess they also built the wide streets. I was surprised to see so many people jaywalking. Very un German like. Interesting city, I'm sure.

you started about 500m away from my old appartment in MD. have been living there for 7 years. due to bussiness travel i walked this path to the hbf for thousand mornings. city full of memory and lost love

9:46 Das Menü im Bingöl-Grill kann ich empfehlen. Perfekt, wenn man auf den Zug im gegenüberliegenden Bahnhof warten muss :)

Keine schöne Innenstadt. Die „Altstadt“ sieht aus wie Berlin Marzahn oder Wolgograd. Da hat Halle an der Saale weit aus mehr zu bieten.
