Whether you plan on just sightseeing, hiking, mountain biking or rock climbing, the Red Rock Canyon National Reservation Area affords ample opportunities to experience this quintessential Nevada desert. Come with us on our tour as we show you a brief glimpse of this scenic 13 mile drive, from the Calico Hills to the Wilson Cliffs, or the La Madre Mountains and Turtleneck Peak. Especially if you're looking for things to do outside the Strip.
Death Valley. Malibu. Santa Monica. Channel Islands National Park. We closed out the year with an epic road trip to California in style, checking out some of the best SoCal has to offer - beautiful coastlines and beaches, gorgeous mountains with hiking and mountain biking trails, tiny islands off in the Pacific Ocean, and also the hottest, driest and lowest place in the United States - and hottest in the world. Not only did we sneak in time for some fun on rollercoasters and other amusement park attractions at Santa Monica Pier. Thank you! I can't imagine some of the places if we would have visited in the hotter months! Hard pass. We really wanted to explore Mojave, but this was an unexpected great find. Valley of Fire next time!

Thank you. I teach science here in LV and I have a few students who have never been here. Sad but true. I told them just drive west on Charleston Blvd and there you are. Do come back AND go visit the Valley of Fire out by Lake Mead and stop by a small quaint town of Overton when you're on your way to the Valley of Fire.

Thank you for this! We were actually thinking of returning in the next year or so for Valley of Fire, to actually hike Red Rock (crossing fingers on no injuries next time), Mount Charleston and to revisit parts of Death Valley. We didn’t know Vegas had so much beautiful stuff besides the Strip haha. I hope your students get out and go. Not everyone has cool places they live nearby and you have to take advantage!

Beautiful drive. When I had to choose b/w this and valley of fire, I had to pick the later one. I’ll go and explore red rock canyon next time I visit Las Vegas. Great video as usual!

There are multiple Red Rocks. That one is near Denver. Moody Blues!

I’m planning to go in august to Las Vegas and also want to visit this amazing place, do I have to make a reservation or can I just go the gate and buy my entrance to the park thanks for the amazing video

You know that’s a great question. We just drove there as a kind of last minute thing and we went right through, but after we made this video, we’ve heard there’s a timed reservation system. Just a quick look at the website, seems like it’s from November to May. I’d double check but if you’re going in August, you should be good. A lot of these parks are constantly changing their rules lol.

I’m not sure where they start in Vegas, but yes they have tours. I’ve seen them on Viator

@@MagellanandGreyhound yes i tried to reserve yesterday for the regular tour, with "van and stops"but kids under 9 are not allowed,the second option would be hiking tour but i dont know if my 6 years kid can make it!

@@massinissaaouchiche9257 oh man. Maybe your best option is to explore the hikes by yourselves then. Everything is well marked and it’s still a lot of fun. It can get very busy but there’s parking lots at each trailhead

@@MagellanandGreyhound i will take him with me (: i just seen some videos of kids there,the terrain is not that rough,i am sure is super hot there and dry but 2 hours walk not big deal for little kid if we take some water and snacks and having breaks
