I had the pleasure of working security at his very last concert in 2016 at the Forum in Los Angeles. He seemed very happy and put on a great show in front of his adoring fans. At the end of his encore, I helped him walk down the semi-dark stairs at the rear of the stage. He thanked me for the help, and I told him that he put on a great show...2 days later he died of a heart attack....RIP Juan Gabriel

I remember seeing an ad for that concert at a bus stop i walked by here in SoCal. I remember saying I'd try to catch his next one and I hate that I never got to see him live.

Fun fact, this concert was held in Palacio de bellas artes which is the biggest and most prestigious venue for cultural and classical music performances in Mexico. Juan Gabriel was the first popular artist to perform there and opened those doors for everyone else.

The singing is excellent, technically right on the money while delivering real emotion. The Mariachi band is really good, not La Cucaracha style for American tourists but the real thing for Mexicans. The orchestra and singers behind him are so so good. I love your reaction and analysis. The editing is very nice and entertaining. I love it all! 🎺

His performances were always this great. There's one time he performed at a dinner with the governor of my state. He made the governor and his wife to dance on top of the table! He always involved the audience so much and always made funny and sassy comments.

Not only he is one of the most talented singers of Mexico and 5he world, but he composed some of the biggest mexican mariachi and ballad anthems that had joined social generations. Allegedly a member of the LGBT community though never confirmed, there can be a thousand divas, but only one divo.

This was one of his best concerts ever, Prime Juan Gabriel at his best. To think these didn't realize the show they were about to see when they sat down in their seats that night. I wish I could've been there to experience this beautiful performance.

It is Jinjer's metal love letter to their parents separated from the band because of their touring schedule, politics and war. The OMV gives a glimpse into the band's life that one normally doesn't get from other bands. With everything going on, it is a very poignant video. 💙💛🌻
